Health improving - but period pain much worse!
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nearly a year ago, and am gradually seeing improvements in my symptoms. The GP has recently been persuaded to increase my dose to 100mcg of levo so I'll have my next blood tests at end Sept. Mostly I have of course been delighted at the changes in how I feel - carpal

Pill or no pill?
Hi everyone, I had my lap done last year, my surgoen fitted a marina coil. My body really didn’t agree with the coil and tried to reject it and it was awfully painful so bad it removed Feb this year. Since then i’ve been reluctant to go back on any contraception. I’ve been on lots of different pills

Bleeding/clots after coil removal for Endo
Hey all, I want to clarify if symptoms I am experiencing are to be expected and any tips to help. I have Endometriosis and had a mirena coil inserted during laproscopy as could not tolerate whilst awake/in clinic due to pain. I felt this did not help or change my Endo symptoms and was advised to have

1st period post lap
Hello again everyone! I had a lap on 8th August (they didn’t find anything which is good and bad I guess) and inserted Mirena at the same time. I *think* I am now on my period, that’s certainly what it feels like. I am on what is probably day 2 or 3 and my pain is not letting up! Bleeding is a lot less

Is there a link between having Mirena Coil fitted and a flair up of Hashimotos?
Recently had coil fitted, 6 months after baby number 3. Feeling exhausted and very very forgettful. Just tested bloods and T3 is low at 3.2 and antibodies high at 488. Told by doc that the coil takes time to settle in your system but it took almost 4 weeks of a fairly light bleed before it did, It seems

My experience...and help if you can
Hi, I was diagnosed with endo when I was 17, I'm now 33. I had various different treatments and was lucky enough to fall pregnant with my son who is now 3. I've learnt to 'cope' with the pain and extreme fatigue throughout the years. One treatment I found really helped for a few years before I conceived

Endometriosis treatment
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with severe Endometriosis in 2008. I’ve had three laporospys and had a Mirena coil fitted two years ago. Recently I have started to get the symptoms back again and wondered what the best treatment is for this. I really don’t want anymore surgery as I have two young children

Doctors refuse to help me - any advice?
Hello, I hope you're all well. I'm new here so sorry if this a little wafflely... I was 'diagnosed' with Endo in March this year and have since seen four doctors across the country (moved from Scotland - London) all of whom have told me outright they have no idea what it is or how to help me. I've had

Lap - no diagnosis. Frustrated
Hi Ladies, Just wanted to ask for some general advice. I had all the symptoms of endo- heavy periods, crippling cramps and sometimes couldn't even function some days due to the pain. Had to take months off work as I couldn't move. Doctors kept dismissing it as IBS (I changed my diet everything to try

Anyone used the Jaydess coil?
Was on Mirena coil a few years ago - never had a period even once so from an endo point of view it's a dream. Now I'm looking at a coil again to control the endo symptoms I'm having as the pill isn't cutting it. Logical solution is use the Mirena as there's a good chance it will just stop my periods

What do you think of this letter that I will give on my next appointment in August?
I understand that I have to live with this condition for pretty much the rest of my life. I have tried a lot of things to help me feel better as hormonal treatment doesn’t work for me. Whenever I have been on the pill or had the mirena they did not help with my pain and they brought with them depression

Change from Decapeptyl & livial onto Mirena Coil
Hi all, Just had my surgery to remove endometriosis cyst, ovary & fallopian tube. Full hysterectomy not possible due to bowel & womb being stuck together. Consultant has stated that he is hopeful that being on the marina coil should help with bowel symptoms and mean that more complex colorectal surgery

Endometriosis excision surgery
Hi girls I had excision of recto vaginal endometriosis ( which is the most severe) nearly 4 weeks ago now. This also involved a bowel rescetion as I had endometriosis adhesions everywhere. I'm getting abit worried as I'm nearly 4 weeks on and I'm still getting pains when I walk in my pelvis and pains

Anyone any experience of Endo returning after having Mirena coil fitted and no period for 3 years?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with severe Endometriosis in 2010 after failed pregnancy attempts including three IUI and five IVF treatments. Had a Laparoscopy in 2010 then another in 2015 to remove lesions and on the second one also had Mirena coil fitted rather than a Hystorectomy, periods halted after six

Sudden cramps with mirena after 2 years
Hello all, Just looking for some advice. I've had the mirena for 2 years now and so far its been great. My periods stopped around 3 months ago and since then I've just had some light cramps around the time of my period. However for the past few days I've had some more moderate cramping, particularly

Mirena coil
Hello ladies I had my coil fitted 22nd of June and I don’t think there’s been a day with there hasn’t been some blood, is this normal? I’m not heavy and i don’t feel unwell in myself just wondering if it will settle anytime soon? Tampons are expensive 😩

Progesterone only pill for Adenomyosis.....
Phew, after the shock of also being diagnosed with adenomyosis alongside my long standing deep infiltrating endo, polyps and fibroids I am now thinking a lot clearer. At the moment the plan is surgery in 2 weeks with insertion of mirena. Unfortunately when I tried the mirena a few years ago it didn't
