Hello ladies I had my coil fitted 22nd of June and I don’t think there’s been a day with there hasn’t been some blood, is this normal? I’m not heavy and i don’t feel unwell in myself just wondering if it will settle anytime soon? Tampons are expensive 😩
Mirena coil : Hello ladies I had my coil... - Endometriosis UK
Mirena coil
Yes they are expensive and the Drs etc who prescribe the mirena do not think of this when they recommend the coil. The coil can take 3-4 months to fully settle, I'm not sure if they mean you can bleed up until then. Are you in pain at all or smelling anything that's not just like the menses smell? You can ask to have its position checked. Family planning are good at this service too.
Is this treating endo for you and if so how severe is your endometriosis, do you know how much endo you have?
Good luck I hope it works for you

I feel good in myself and my cramps aren’t as bad just waiting for the bleeding to slowly settle it’s not bad or unusual I just didn’t think I’d be bleeding every day whilst waiting for it to settle! I’ll carry on and see how I am over the next few weeks I had my op last year and it was widespread but mainly on my ovarian fosae and my ovaries were stuck to my wall! I tried pills but that doesn’t take the pain away so now trying this.. seems ok so far
Your endo sounded N.A.S.T.Y!
Good luck with the coil let us know in a few weeks how you are getting on!
Best wishes
Helly.
