Had a prostap injection just under a week ago. Feel awful. Tired and can't sleep walking up and down the stairs causes me to sit down. I'm hoping it will reduce the size of my uterus as I have adenymosis and fibrioids. I'm having a hysteroscopy under anesthesia for the mirena coil in hospital on weds as I have endometrium hyperplasia. My hormones have been all over the place this year and I've waited nearly a year to see a gynecologist because of the waiting lists. I've taken some time off for myself as I was admitted to hospital and had a blood transfusion due to the heavy bleeding of my uterus. I feel like my body has been hit by a bus and sleep teas don't work.

Prostap injection
You poor thing. It is such a brutal treatment. The reason you are not sleeping is that it has switched off your Estrogen supply. We need Estrogen to sleep. I had this and heart palpitations. I was given add back hrt but that flared up my condition. Can you talk to them on Wednesday about how you are feeling?
I agree it’s a double edge sword Prostap . It works to stop the bleeding so your energy and iron levels will come back but the other side effects are really a big shock to the system! I did have some success with herbsl sleep things like ashwarganda .. after being on full strength Nytol and that just feeling too wierd . Do weight bearing exercise for your bones while on the prostap too . Mood swings evened out a couple of weeks in . I hope you get all sorted soon and don’t have to stay on the prostap too long X
Huge hug for you. I'm in a similar position - about to start zoladex and I'm dreading it but it's my last option after the provera I'm currently on. It is estrogen. You've switched off your ovaries so even with add back you won't have much. Take magnesium supplement and drink chamomile. Predictive text changed that to champagne which made me laugh xx sending love ❤️
