Should I Ablate ?
I have now visited my EP and have received a thorough report from him. He has left the decision to me if I want to go ahead with the procedure . The waiting time would be about two-three month . I am 72 with underlying heart conditions , but very active in the gym and tennis player . 1. He does not

Hi So I am on flecainide and metoprolol and have been offered ablation following results of three day ECG. I've had two really bad episodes where couldn't breathe and almost passed out with several episodes of dizziness - these all happened before medication. Now I have tiredness, palpitations and Heart

New to afib
I've had Afib about 6 months following a tooth extraction. The first spell was a week of off and on days followed by a lull of about a month. Then I experienced it about twice a month until the last two weeks where it has been 2-3 times a week. Any chance it will just go away? It happens either right

I'm new here, just diagnosed last month
I started having an accelerated heart beat on July 1st. It happened while watching TV about once a week. My normal resting heart rate is around 75 bpm. Mine would go from 100-150 bpm. I always new when it started and when it stopped. I wasn't in pain but I felt different. So I called a cardiologist

Amiodarone ?
I have AFib and after being on Metoprolol for about 10 months and AF free for 3 months I was just prescribed Amiodarone to replace the Metoprolol. I've researched this drug and don't like what I've learned. Apparently it is potentially toxic to many organs. I think I'll go with the ablation instead

Stopping medications before ablation
Hello you lovely people, I am almost organized for my trip to Sydney for the Cryo ablation, on the 30th September. I am reading the notes for stopping the medications, and am worried about stopping metoprolol on the 24th Sept, that's 6 days, without any drugs yet I know from past research, this medication

Flecainide and pacs
I have PAF that at least for now is presaged by frequent PACs, brought on by adrenaline. I take a low dose metoprolol and was recently prescribed flecainide, which I haven't taken yet. Will flec suppress the PACs or only the resulting AF? The PACs are very bothersome to me and anxiety about them,

LAF has led to Agoraphobia
All, I am in my late 20's and have had LAF for about 7 years. I've only had like 5-6 episodes of Afib in my life, and none for the past 5 years. My episodes were caused by excessive alcohol and strenuous exercising, and twice I had to be cardioverted. I take Metoprolol Succinate 50 mg and a baby aspirin

Am I experiencing a blood pressure med reaction?
I'll try to be kind of brief... I'm 35 year old male, married w/ two precious girls (4yrs & 3yrs old). About 6 years ago we discovered that I had high blood pressure while checking bp at my inlaws house. We have high bp and high cholesterol in my family so we decided to go to "the families" cardiologist

Question about Ablation
I am 27 years old, 140 lbs, and have been diagnosed with Lone Afib for 6 years now. Had 3-4 episodes around age 21 due to heavy drinking and doing P90X (weight lifting) for a few days which triggered Afib. Had 2 cardioversions and both were successful. Have been on 50 mg Metoprolol & baby aspirin ever
