Metoprolol succinate
I just had my first Cardioversion on Saturday; all went well after a pretty severe episode that morning. The doctor put me on Metoprolol Succinate. Does anybody have any experience with this regarding side effects and effectiveness? Thank you!

Happy
I am very happy I found this site I only get af once or twice a year now that I am on medication one quarter of a metoprolol and half a tambocor twice a day. Before I started the medication I would get af every three months. When I get af I fell like I am going to die and nobody could understand what

Muscle cramps from losartan. Quit taking last week and replaced it with ubuiquinol. 100 mg once daily. Taking metoprolol 2x daily. Can I take ubuiquinol in its place. Maybe ubuiquinol 3x daily @ 100mg. Cholesterol is up and sugar at last visit. Would like to get off these meds. Plz advise.

Prescribed Tizanidine for migraine headaches
I am taking
metoprolol
and
hydrochlorothiazide
for high heart rate and high blood pressure. Two days ago, in the morning, I took the metroprolol and hydrochl. About 4 hours later I took a tizanidine because I had a headache.

Will I forever have the AFIB diagnosis after one EKG?
I am still trying to figure some things out. But my question still becomes: Will I forever have the diagnosis of AFIB after just ONE episode that the EKG captured???? A 2nd EKG and a 2 week heart monitor showed all NSR. Never have symptoms. I am taking Metoprolol and aspirin and need to decide whether

this is my 2nd posting, my 1st query was about AV node ablation, my EP specialist has recommended that I have the AV node ablation
my cardiologist would rather I tried a pacemaker with 190mg of high dose Metoprolol, as AV node abaltion is a last resort, unfortunately this hasn't worked as I could not tolerate more than 145gms Metoprolol - 3mths after having the pacemaker inserted my heart rate went down to 43bpm, I was taken to

24 hours post ablation! First off, if this works, I would do it again. (If unfortunately necessary!)
I so waited for others to post once they'd gone through this ordeal so here I go for all who are curious. I will try to answer all the questions I had prior to my pulmonary vein isolation/ablation procedure. No GA, general anesthetic, light sedatives for; the TEE/TOE, US or UK spelling, (transesophageal

What causes the dizziness associated with atrial fibrillation
having failed rhythm control I am now on rate control which is reasonably satisfactory. I normally get one attack a fortnight which last for 6 to 8 hours and I am normally capable of doing heavy physical labour even during an attack. Sometimes however, normally at the start of an attack I have trouble

Advice please - My pulse has been racing since very early Sunday morning
Not as high as it did before my ablation (last June) but around 130bpm. I spoke to my GP at length on Monday who advised me to take Metoprolol alongside my Amiodarone and Warfarin. Yesterday, with it still racing, I rang to speak to my GP to be told he was at a meeting. A nurse called me back and said

Does the catheter ablation have any effect on "simple" palpitations? I have rapid paroxsymal AF and am considering the ablation.
I started the AF episodes 3 years ago. They were 1x 6 months, 1x 3 months... now 1-2 per each month. So I have been told the ablation would be the best solution. I use the "pill in the pocket" method at present with Flecainide and Metoprolol and it takes about 5-6 hours to stop the episode BUT I feel

What experiences have others had with Apixaban, Flecainide Acetate & Metoprolol Tartrate? I'm concerned about side effects.

Recently diagnosed with AF really anxious about it. I am 44 cardiologist initially tried me on Metoprolol but it made me feel awful.
Now taking Verapamil 40mg 3 times a day, don't seem to have such bad side effects. Feel anxiety is a big trigger for AF.

So Disappointed
Last week, which was 5 weeks after my recent 2nd ablation, I had an ECG and all was well with my pulse at 63. I felt on top of the world and had been for a long walk with a friend this past Monday . But to my horror very early this Tuesday morning my heat started racing after I got out of bed for a toilet

My EP Visit
Hi All, Just got back from my 3.5 month Post Ablation visit with my EP. It was a very good visit and I found out some really interesting info. In Nov 2012, they had to put off my ablation for about 3 months because they were installing a completely new EP lab and it was finished 3 weeks prior

Hi has anyone taken this drug? I was given it and I am sure it made my symptoms worse in less than 2 weeks! I had to be admitted for the 2nd time in a month for three days with a rate of over 203 in AF. The first time I was not on it. I have now been put on Metoprolol and Fleconide which please

Do graves goiters ever go without an op or RAI? & I'm worried about my heart? Hyper
Hi guys! A couple more questions if that's okay. I ended up at A&E today, a nasty reaction to metoprolol (every side effect going!). Still waiting to see endo but the dr asked me at the hospital if I've been referred to a heart specialist. I haven't but should I? My poor ticker has been doing 110-130bpm

Wonder what would happen without free prescriptions...
Crime, thyroid and amusement don't often go together. But I couldn't help laughing at this story today: The Blotter: A burglar took what? Fri, 10/15/2010 - 12:57pm — Chris Essig If you are going to burglarize a motor vehicle (which I highly suggest you don't do) what would be the first thing you
