When will the medical system wake up
It's 4 am here in Florida. I can't sleep. Back to taking the Eliquis since being in the hospital has put me back to square one. As I couldn't follow my personal protocol I had at home taking my supplements and whatnot. I had the tests and blood work and you know what. I was expecting them to be negative

Just wondering??
My husband is on the generic form of Lipitor. He has been on it for over twenty years. He is also on Synthroid and Lisinoprol and Metoprolol. Back in 2016 his platelet count was 162. Yesterday the doctor told him his platelets are 92. Nothing was said for 4 years that it has been going down until

GCA patient saw cardiologist yesterday, med changes
Hi all: So I took, my weatherman to Cardiologist yesterday. Routine checkup, because of the history of CABG 2005 and stent replacement last year and occasional chest pain with flareups. So during his visit yesterday, Mac told cardiologist about needing nitro 3x in one week with symptoms of GCA. This

Really low heart rate
On August 24 of this year, After having what I thought was tachycardia for over 24 hours with a heart rate of 150 b/m, I ended up in the emergency room where it was determined I was having an SVT episode. That was resolved, surprisingly, by an IV of metoprolol. After that, my electro-physiologist increased

When can I return to normal?
Hi all. On October 21st it will have been my 3 month post SVT ablation date. Right now I feel good, I’m weaning myself off of the metoprolol slowly, by taking a full 25 mg tab in the morning and then half a tab at night. I know I am impatient, that’s become very clear to me after this procedure lol!!

Not Flutter After All

Using kardia mobile to track heart rhythm and strange ekg after exercise
Hi ! So i've never been officially diagnosed with afib or any arrhythmia but my doctors suspect it because I have random episodes of very fast heart rates. (150-160 bpm) I regularly use a kardia mobile to track my heart rate and rhythm and took one today after exercising. Is this artifact or something

Treatment for Atrial Flutter
Has anyone been treated successfully for atrial flutter? I awoke yesterday morning with a pulse of 90 (my heart rate is typically 60s-70s). I've gotten used to the occasional episodes of afib and atypical flutter which usually resolve in a couple of days. But this was different. No matter what I

How much is too much?
Hello everyone, I have taken Ropinirole since 1999 my doctor has increased my dose to 2mg 3 x daily over that time period It’s not enough medicine to sustain me between doses any more. I sleep one or two hours each night and take several hot baths to reduce the agony or pace all night long. My doctor

Beta blocker causing adrenaline jolts to heart?
Since early June I've been on metoprolol 25mg daily, and since then I've been getting constant little adrenaline jolts to my heart area. I thought at the time it was just a weird anxiety symptom, since I had recently been hospitalized for tachycardia (all tests came back saying heart was fine) and my

8 Weeks Post SVT Ablation and Weaning off of Metoprolol
Hi all, yesterday was my 8 week mark post SVT ablation. I tried weaning myself off of the metoprolol yesterday because the night before my heart rate went extremely low (upper 40’s), I take two 25 mg tablets a day, so yesterday morning I did 3/4 of a tablet instead of a whole one and it threw my day

Looking for insight here please. I started treatment for CLL last November; 280 mg daily. My numbers went down pretty quickly. I had headaches at first but that resolved. In March my doctor increased my dose to 420 saying he wanted my numbers to go down lower, faster. At this point my WBC was in

Possibly getting off exforge
I've had some strange health issues over the last 5-6 years and starting to wonder whether it's the exforge because I can find no other cause of this. Years ago, I think after I started exforge, I started to get random aches and pains in my arms and hands, but it was not so bad so I generally ignored

Metoprolol
Hi, I am on metoprolol 50mg twice a day and extremely tired. It keeps my heart in control but have absolutely no energy. Went for a short and leisurely walk and I am exhausted. Anyone else in this situation?

Metoprolol lowering hr?
I have severe anixety that has caused me to have really bad heart palpitations and I've even had a run of atrial tachycardia show up on my Holter monitor report. Cardiologist put me on metoprolol 25mg.xl. I was going to split them in half at first but even now that's freaking me out. My concern is
