Metoprolol and Rls?

Restless leg syndrome victim I have a Question about motoprolol.Does it have side effects similar to restless leg syndrome,or does it affect restless leg syndrome in any way?.Should I go on something else?

No, blood pressure meds do not have any effect on RLS. At least I know they will not make RLS worse. They are one of the safe classes of meds for us, as far as a med that might make it worse. Like antidepressants (SSRI's and tricyclics) that are on the no no list, this one does not and has never made the "no no" list for RLSer's. Are you on any other meds that cold be affecting you?

Thanks for reply.I am on ropinerole.25 mg;levothyroxine.125mg; Estradiol 1mg.xanax .5 mg occasionally for sleep;Bupropion150 mg .I was on Abilify for several years .It is a Bipolar drug and antidepressant.Quit that a while ago.
