Nocturnal afib
I tend to go into afib between midnight and 2am. Anyone else like that? I would say it is 90% of the time. Is this normal? I have paroxysmal afib. Finally confirmed in 2013. I can remember my heart flopping around like a fish out of water when I was a child. That would be 45 years previously. I have

Bisoprolol and air hunger?
I’ve been on Bisoprolol for a couple of months now after trying carvidelol and metoprolol.. I have sinus tachycardia and PVCs.. my main issue is waking up every morning with a HR of about 130-170 bpm. Upping carvedilol and metoprolol didn’t help, it only made me dizzy. I felt like Bisoprolol helped and

PULSE/HEARTRATE
Quick question, I have a cardiologist appointment tomorrow and for the last 4 days I have been taking metoprolol. I have been monitoring my heart rate today and noticed upon resting it was down to as low as 51bpm, should I be concerned? I was trying to decide if I should be going into hospital or not

Medication
Today I went for my follow up and my doctor got mad at me. He told me that I have to get on meds or he will no longer see me as a patient. Now I'm a see a psychiatrist which sucks because I know they going to want to put me on more meds. So by the time I knew it I was put on 3 different meds. Metoprolol

Statins and Alzheimers
After my bypass surgery in March 2015, I was given a statin drug specifically, Rosuvastatin, 10 mg per day. After several follow up meetings with my cardiologist he gradually increased this to 30 mg per day. Initially I didn't experience any side-effects but by the 6 month I began to experience severe

What dose of Flecainide were others given for chemical cardioversion?
I have just had a big weekend in hospital for treatment of my second bout of AF. First one was 2 years ago and had cardioversion. I have had funny beats now and then but no AF until Saturday night. My cardiologist had advised me to present to A and E for pill in pocket trial when I next got AF so that

Ablation recommended for my mother at 92 yrs old?
Hi All - I write here for my mother who is 92 yrs old and has had afib for over 30 yrs now. Lately she is having more episodes that last longer periods of time. We saw her cardio/EP today and her heart is beating too fast. She has a pace maker that keeps her heart from going below 60 beats a minute

18 months post ablation and Starbucks accident
I am back to my AF family with 18 months post ablation "report". Everything is fine. I forgot that I was in hell for 2 years until two months ago when I was in London with my wife. We stopped for cappuccino at Starbucks somewhere in the City (near Bank). I don't use sugar any more so I usually just

Metoprolol Required for First 3 Months
I was told by the surgeon twice I had to stay on these beta blockers for several months as some patients, 30 % or so, get arithmetic or something? I have been working for years to not be on Meds, now I have to have them. Has anyone been able to eventually go off them?
