Has anyone here had the experience of taking meds for ADHD while trying to keep blood pressure under control?
Hi, I'm new here and recently diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type). I'm almost 40 and never took any stimulants. I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have high blood pressure (which I think is related to my anxiety). I've been taking Sertraline for depression and Hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension

SPIRONOLACTONE 25 MG TABLET
Can anyone please tell me if spironolactone interferes with RLS? If so, are there any other b/p meds that can be a good substitute? I'm already taking HCTZ and lisinopril.

Warning Signs Before My Cardiac Arrests
Hi -- after I posted the description of my 4 cardiac arrests, a couple people asked for more details, like what early symptoms or warnings I had. So here goes. In the year before my cardiac arrests in July of 2018 I was awoken 4 times with breathing difficulties. I simply couldn't catch my breath

Good morning everyone, I apologize in advance. I've let too much time go by without sharing needed updates. Due to the amazing feedback, I have received from this forum, MANY changes have been made in a short time and I'm truly in awe at the results so far. Last night I was reviewing and consolidating

Since first experiencing Afib 4 years ago, I have been advised off and on to consider ablation. Many people seem to think that ablation cured or reduced their Afib, while others have reported disappointing ineffectiveness and complications. It is difficult to pin down statistical assessments because

Measuring force of heart beats?
Hi. I'm Amelia. New here. Age 63. Paroxysmal AFib since at least 2015. Dx in 2018. Rx Metoprolol. Question: is there any way of measuring the force of your irregular heartbeats? Just wondering if that could explain the difference between people who don't feel their Afib and people that feel all of it

BP issues.
So I've been on this forum for approximately 2 years. When I was first diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease, my blood pressure had exceeded 179 /90; my eGFR 55. Upon seeing my PCP, I was prescribed Losartan 25 mg daily. I titrated dose 12.5mg twice day; I was overweight by 50 lbs. Now, 2 years later

Hi?? best AFib BP med?
I have AFib & cll. I'm on 5mg Eliquis 2x/day, 100mg metropolol daily and ibrutinib 140mg 1x/day for cll. Counts are good but I continue to wonder which BP med is best in relation to my continuing AFib? I seem to get fatigued if I slightly over do activities. I've been reading and metoprolol seems

What alternatives are there to Metoprolol and Valsartan?
My brother of 79 living in a village in Calif. saw a cardio who prescribed metoprolol 50.mg a day and Valsartan 80 mg. This village has no GPs and you have to drive 30 miles to see anyone. If there is an emergency the fire brigade come out with a paramedic, who decides if you need to go to hospital

Taken too much by mistake
This morning, I grabbed what I thought was colchicine for gout and took 3....then returned to look at container and it was my metoprolol! Called the poison hot line after trying to bring them back up (along with my other morning meds) and was suggested to contact my doctor or got to ER for monitoring

calming a fibs
So, I am having a fibs right now 9:30 at night in the USA. Heart rate went up to 137, then down to 80s 90's jumping all around. Could feel it racing and I was short of breath. My question is this: WHAT CAN I DO TO CALM ALL THIS DOWN? HOW DO I STOP THE ANXIETY WHILE IT IS HAPPENING? I just drank

Lots of Energy Yesterday
Yesterday, I felt like my old self and despite the heat worked in my garden for most of the day. Could have done more and my energy was almost limitless. Why was that you may ask? Well I forgot to take my beta blocker 25mg of Metoprolol that morning. My goodness who would have thought that medication
