Post vasectomy pain syndrome
Nearly 6 years ago I had a vasectomy, from day 1 I've had debilitating pain so bad that even strong pain killers such as pregabaline and cocodamol didn't even touch it. I'm now on morphine patch due to addiction to codeine. I'm now hoping to have the local anaesthetic in target area. It has pretty much

Swede & carrot fritters
Hi everyone and here’s a pic of tonight’s tea. I made the fritter idea up and although they fell apart a bit, they were well yummy. Chop half a swede and 3 medium carrots into small chunks, steam for about ten minutes then mash with butter. Stir in a fried onion, a large egg and a handful of grated cheddar

Alternating heart beat
Hi, anyone else had this happen? Had ablation 6.5 months ago. Had a few periods of tachycardia, but hotter monitor showed nothing major. Had four episodes which lasted longer and I needed PIP. This week I've been rushing around and have probably done too much and yesterday morning I felt really tired

A thought for our loved ones.
My triple bypass heart surgery was recently cancelled at the last minute. Although disappointed I was OK about it. My wife however was very upset by the cancellation. She had built herself up for me to have the operation so emotionally it was a big come down. It got me thinking. When facing major surgery

Help needed interpreting a Kardia report
The odd “quivering” heart sensation which I have now had for about 6 days continues every night. When I awoke this morning I took a Kardia reading whilst it was taking place and sent it off to Kardia for analysis. The finding is reproduced below. The bradycardia is known to my GP and cardiologist and

Chest Pain
Hi, my mum has recently been admitted to hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath, they thought she may be having a heart attack but having further test her arteries are all clear and they have put it down to either stress or her fibromyalgia saying this can cause chest pain, is this a common

Scientists discover how COVID-19 virus causes multiple organ failure in mice.
UCLA researchers are the first to create a version of COVID-19 in mice that shows how the disease damages organs other than the lungs. Using their model, the scientists discovered that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can shut down energy production in cells of the heart, kidneys, spleen and other organs. "This

Delayed heart surgery trauma?
Hello, I'm new here! I had open heart surgery at 10 years old (I'm now 21) and had my sternum wires removed 3 years ago. Recently I have been having really bad health anxiety - worrying about my general health and death/dying. I cannot comprehend the fact that I ever had heart surgery and the thought

I've been on Metoprolol for about three years now (low dose, half a pill morning and night). Can I wean off of it? If so, how?
I have had Afib, once recently that I was able to reset holding my breath. I'm not on a blood thinner. I'd like to see if it can be managed without the meds. I'm 66 and otherwise healthy. I had a some high blood pressure but cut almost all salt out and got that under control. I'd like to use supplements

Tens machine and other healthcare products
I answered a question on this forum about Tens machines. Was unsure whether forum would allow me to post their phone number but it seems that it was okay. I was given this info by hospital pain clinic many years ago. Thought i would help by writing this post for everybody if it is allowed. They sell

Apixaban issues
I have been ob Apixaban now for an number of years. But lately whenever I am having a blood test I seem to be having issues with either the vein not giving enough or just collapsing. But when one is found it then refuses to stop for some time. When I was on warfarin for over 20 years I did not have

Yes I will have the vaccination
Re Vaccination If I had seen the video of a heart bypass before my op I honestly doubt if I could have got through . I therefore preferred to put my head in the sand and let them get on with it. It will be the same with this vaccination. I would rather that than dying slowly of something I knew I could
