First appointment went really well with my gynecologist, she did a quick internal exam to check tenderness. She said she will send me for further testing to see if anything has changed since my last scans. She will see me again in 3 months to discuss the scan results and make the decision to go ahead with my laparoscopy. (She sent me home with a leaflet with some information regarding the risks etc) So quite happy to being a bit closer to finding out what is causing me all this pain and discomfort. For the time being, what can you recommend for pain relief? I've had all sorts of painkillers, I've tried mefanamic acid and tranexamic acid too but no relief. I have tried a TENS machine too but I found it rather uncomfortable. Also any information/advice about laparoscopy is welcome The waiting list is quite long due to Covid so I have time to prepare myself.
Another thing she told me is I have a tilted womb, is this common with endometriosis? Is it normal?

Hello, sorry to hear you are suffering, you've come to the right place! In terms of pain management I was also given mefanamic and tranexamic acid but found these didn't really work for me. After speaking to my GP she prescribed Naproxen and I found this really helps when combined with additional pain killers such as paracetamol or codeine. I also taken Buscopan cramps which you can buy over the counter and is a god send.I also have a tilted cervix, not sure if it is common with endo but it's apparently common in general.
Hope you don't have to wait to long for your lap. Good luck x
