Pelvic pain
Hi this is my second round of cancer had APR in 2018, removal of my rectum and permanent colostomy. In 2020 had secondary cancer which decided to wrap its self around the nerves in front of my sacrum, so was given chemo and radio therapy, this did the trick and tumour disappeared and I'm on 3 monthly

Gluten free lentil pie with roast potatoes
Hi everyone, this is what I made for dinner it’s a pie with lentils onions and vegetables with a pie crust made using a crumble recipe as that’s a lot easier than making pastry that’s why it looks a bit rough and ready LOL. I sautéed diced onion in a little olive oil before adding frozen mixed veg and

New to Apixaban
Having been diagnosed with Arrhythmia, I will shortly start taking 5mg Apixaban twice a day. This causes me much concern. Will I be able to lead a normal life, eg play golf, go abroad on holiday etc and will I be able to have a couple of glasses of wine each day? I am currently a regular social drinker

Managing flare up advice needed, struggling to cope!
Just wondering how people cope when their pain flares up? Do people have some kind of management plan to deal with them? I’m yet to be formally diagnosed and am awaiting Diagnostic Laparoscopy. I’m getting increasing frequency of pain flares in my pelvis, hips, low back and upper legs, they’re excruciating

Aortic valve replacement
My beautiful boy was born with Aortic stenosis. He’s had to valvuloplasties one when he was 12 and the other when he was 16. The latter left his valve leaking but he’s been ok. Now he’s 34 and we have just heard he has to have the valve replaced with an onyx mechanical valve. This has to be done in the

Workout pain

How bad does it have to be before...
Oxygen. Thing is I have severe COPD (emphysema and bronchiectasis) at stage four. Last FEV1 32%. I am 78. Now I have also had arrhythmia and some oedema so I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure as well. But two echo- cardiograms showed a healthy heart, two E CGs have showed the rhythm is now

Update
I’m getting released today from the hospital. I had my defibrillator wire removed this past Wednesday. A very delicate procedure considering the wire has been in for 17 years. The wire has damaged my Tricuspid valve in my heart allowing blood to back up into my liver and cause cardiac cirrhosis. Hopefully
