Blood Test results query
Sorry if posted this on wrong community - had quite a lot of Pernicious Anemia or B12 deficiency symptoms last few months ( mother also had PA late 1990s) but doctor say blood tests didn’t show it and I have various other health problems. Have managed to obtain copies of various tests done end of 2020

creatinine levels
I just got my bloodwork back...The following were mid to lower levels and normal.. Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Protein and Phosphate...my creatinine was at 1.64...My glucose at 77 and A1C5.0..so my GFR was 40.....My question would be how to lower my creatinine...My protein comes from 3 days of 100%

Hi everyone.. I’m just going to ramble .... I get up every morning first off feeling tired already then as soon as I take a drink of water, nausea washes over me. I’m on daily low dose aspirin, 500mg HU every other day, nexium ... can’t be just the HU because this nausea has been there way before

Still in the unknown
Hi everyone, I've made two posts before here but I am still having issues and not sure what to do. I don't want to annoy anyone so apologies if this does in anyway. Long story: I've been suffering on/off with light headed / loss of vision(rare) / sweating(sometimes I sweat for no reason under arms) /

hello, any advice would be nice.
well i have lupus. i've been tested on and off ... i get tested couple of days ago and my urine test for protein says i have 0.3g/L . so it's flagged as HI because it's not <0.3. my eGFR was 91 or 96 and now 79. i was taking extra whey protein so i've cut down on that. and cutting down on sodium

Help with iron panel results please?
I have had a test at the surgery which has come back normal but thought I’d check here? As I don’t understand it and I understand that ferritin is important but that you shouldn’t just take iron if your iron count is good but how do you increase only the ferritin ? Thanks 😊 Ferritin 79. Range 11

An ironic observation by the first synthesiser of thyroxine
Have been looking through some very old papers about thyroid and found one co-authored by Charles Harington, who was very much to the fore in efficient isolation of thyroxine from animal thyroid, and co-inventor of a method of synthesising thyroxine. The irony from today's perspective lies in this paragraph

LVA Surgery - Unsuccessful...?
I have primary lymphedema in my right leg. It first presented itself 3 years ago in my late twenties. I'm in good physical shape, get lots of exercise, eat a healthy, low sodium diet, wear compression garments, and use a Flexitouch pump. As uncomfortable as my lymphedema is, I am able to manage it by

Please help me understand my results - will this TSH level affect my fertility?
Hello all. I have been on Thyreogland - an NDT comprised of 100mcg t4 and 25mcg t3, for the last 2 years. Recently, the dosage I normally take was not in stock! So I have been taking 125mcg t4 and respectively more t3 (I don't know the exact amount), I realise this was a bit stupid given that I felt

Post SABR (SBRT) side effects
My father underwent 5 rounds of SABR alongside a 4-month injection of Lupron. He finished his last radiation treatment on Feb 18th. The last three days he has been experiencing a lot of gas and diarrhea. I messaged the radiation oncologist and he suggested Imodium and the BRAT diet. Anybody have any

BP is well down, but an increase in sodium drives it right back up. What to do?
Hello. Through weight loss/exercise/no caffeine/low sodium/medication (Lisinopril-HCTZ 20-25mg), my blood pressure has dropped from about 190/110 to about 100/65. Cutting back on my sodium intake has made a profound difference. I am a 55 year old male, I exercise daily and I hydrate well. Last weekend

Could I still have low iron?
I haven’t yet returned to normal since my low iron diagnosis and iron infusion treatment in October. All my tests are coming back good or normal. My mean cell value is 86.7 [80-100] Ferritin 276 [10-300] As my MCV is low in the range, could this indicate that my red blood cells are still small? I’m still

Vit B12 and diarrhoea
How well is the link between Vit B12 and diarrhoea understood? Does it just amount to observation that people with Vit B12 deficiency can have diarrhoea.
