Please don’t change your medication without consulting a medical professional first - we on this forum don’t know your age or details of medical history and so on, so we should not be advising you.Do you know the website Blood Pressure UK? It’s very helpful on tips to get your BP down using diet and lifestyle.

Thank you.I am due to see my GP next Monday .I am 73 and walk at least 10,000 steps per day and I eat healthily.I had a stroke nearly 3 years ago, blood clot on the brain.Covid has made me terribly anxious,it's crippling.

i bought a resperate breathing bp lowering/stress etc, i find its brill ,i use it 4 times a day 15 or 30 mins a time,i got mine off ebay 40pds but if it went wrong id gladly pay the 200 pds new,a lot say they do nothing but i bet they have not got one or even tried it, im your age and i slowely stopped all drugs due to side effects, but take healthy things turmeric, cayenne pepper, pumpkin seeds etc,i was checking my bp records at 60age i was 161/90 at 70 i was 171/90 and in brill health all those years ,then i got a virus 2 years ago and bp shot up thats why i ended up on bp pills and in 2019 they had not a clue what virus i had in hospital, took a year of pills made me feel like life was over but now pill free for a week feel good,

Hi Peter ,went to GP today my blood pressure was 120over60...I have walked daily at least ten thousand steps and feel much better.Medication is not for me ,I am hypersensitive to all meds.So onwards with a healthy life style .

thats good im 2 weeks off them, feel a lot better, sleeping now, headaches, feeling off nearly all gone and im not doing bp,was reading in older folks its better to have a bit high bp than low, you live longer, and drugs like calcium channel blockers do more harm than good in the long run, ie you have a heart attack, so it seems you take your chance,id rather live well and pill free , than live like a zombie and feel ill and rotten everyday, wasted a year of my life on them, for me exercise diet, meditate i was a hippy in younger days so thats easy, esp with a resperate i fell asleep yesterday using it lol.
