The overwhelming gushes of trauma time after time. How can I tackle this?
My story is a long one for someone who is turning 26 in a few days time. For the purpose of condensing and the attempt to not bring everything to the surface at a sensitive time for myself, here is my back ground in a nutshell: -Childhood - dysfunction family with dangerous levels of control with physical

Went to first counselling Session..
Before we started round 4, we thought it would be a good idea to speak to the designated fertility counsellor with our clinic. I have been struggling a lot lately so before we start our second Fresh harvest I just wanted to speak to someone about it. It was really good to hear that how I am feeling is

Bipolar II and anxiety
Hi, I'm new here. I apologize in advance for the long post. I've been dealing with bipolar II depression few episodes of hypomania and severe anxiety since I was 13 and I'm 37 now. I also have 4 herniated discs in my neck which cause chronic pain. Over time my bipolar and anxiety have been getting worse

Disabled/Recently Diagnosed with Functional Movement Disorder
I am 42. I live with Fibromyalgia, severe mental health issues, and was recently diagnosed with functional movement disorder. I need support. Right now, I feel alone and scared. All of this is so overwhelming. I have been getting stress headaches every day for a week. The stress only makes the movements

Don't want anti-depressants (Amitryptilene), pain-killers (Amitryptilene) or counselling: just want a diagnosis
Went to GP yesterday, after 3 months. Haematology has now signed me off, all things being "normal" except raised MMA levels, so being sent for SIBO breath test in October, still no results from MRI brain scan taken on June 16th by Neurology, no results from Genetics lab either yet although they have

BSGE clinics
Just wondering how many people go to a BSGE endo clinic? On moving house I found one an hour and a half away. I waited ages for a referral and then on receiving an appointment and going I realised I had been placed in a pain clinic and the consultant has a very different way in the idea of treatments

Counselling
Today I took the plunge and emailed someone regarding private counselling. It is something I have been debating for several months but have been far too scared to even enquire about it. I'm hoping I don't regret it and pull out as this is something I desperately need, I've realised that now.

HYPOTHYROIDISM and PMR
As I have too much time on my hands to think and add to my list of what else could be wrong with me I called the doctor to ask about my blood test results. I asked if she thought I have stopped loosing weight due to a sluggish Thyroid? She said It's only borderline .6 so no that probably wasn't it. I

I went to the doctors 7 weeks ago after years of struggling with my eating. My GP wanted to refer me for a mental health assessment. I had to wait 5 weeks for this appointment. I went to the assessment and now 2 weeks later after talking about things like CBT and counselling i receieved a phone call

What else
This morning I woke up and I smiled and for 10 seconds I forgot about my life, my pain my unhappiness. Then realisation hit me that I'm alone, worthless, unwanted and pointless. I've tried to reach out to different people in my life and they don't want to know, made excuses or just think I'm pathetic

Hi my name is Sue and I have been diagnosed with Behcets since 1986. I was 16 years old. I have not had an easy journey, however to many my life has appeared very normal. I went to university and studied nursing straight out of school and continue to work. I also have studied counselling and psychology

I know my relationship doesn't always help how I'm feeling, but what do I do?
I've had GAD for years and when I'm starting to feel better it comes back again. I guess I'm never going to be free But I'm concerned that the relationship I'm in isn't helping me either. I apologise now if this is a long one, but I feel I need some advise We've been together for 16 years and I fell

Advice on Counseling Adolescents Requested
All, I recently wrote about my wife being DXd with PSP. She is young, and we have two children still in High School. Many of you have advised that I and the children see a therapist and get some counseling. I am planning to do this for myself, and I have approached the kids about it, but neither seem

After documented asthma death due to Ibuprofen, and realizing that no proper counselling was registered in her records, I think it is of vital importance to teach all asthma patients evrything about asthma.New generation doctors should take this seriously.
