Methylation - was gobblydegook but now I'm understanding it
I have received a random email from Dr Mark Hyman regarding Methylation. When I had my legally required counselling with the result of my DIO2 gene test, the counsellor talked at great length about Methylation & she was recommending I take a test to check my methylation. I couldn't take in what she

You are a blessing to me!
As my symptoms change/increase (I have PSP-cerebellar ataxia with dementia, or so I’ve been told by a neurologist and a neuro/psych specialist) I have started to check into this site more and more for information. It has helped me stay ahead of the “game” as no one in my family talks to me about this

Med free!
It has been officially 3 weeks of no depression. Meds and I feel like a brand new person! I feel even better then when I was on all the meds! I was feeling very suicidal and self harm in a daily basis it only got worse when they added an extra new med to the mix so I stop taking them and notice improvement

Beat me up with a very big stick? No thanks, I'll do it myself.
I've just had a read online about carer's guilt. Is it just the pages I have found? Or are they all so smooth and lacking any gut reality tone with regard to the hard work, the 'fails', remorse and exhaustion? Then for many of us there is occasional resentment about what has happened to our own lives

Decision made. Onto the next step.
Hi all, So thank you for your comments the last week or so. They have helped me process what I and my partner want to do next following the third failed IVF cycle. It comes down to wanting a family, starting that next stage as soon as we can...and to start living again without the black cloud

Introducing myself!
Good afternoon. After joining a few months ago it's finally time I got round to introducing myself & using the site more. I'm a single lady living in the Midlands. I have recently been diagnosed with M.E/CFS but have always wanted a family. Previous long term relationship broke down after 15 years

I can’t stop feeling nauseous
I’m a sophomore in high school and I’ve been struggling with fear of throwing up since 2nd grade. I went into counseling for it and it went away. Fast forward to the end of freshman year and I just felt nauseous at every little thing. The awful part is, it’s summer and it’s still happening. I can’t eat

Trying to hanging on this tree called life pt.2
Hi all. today was the day that I had my doctors appointment and I decided to address my concerns about my depression. At first, I didn't want to completely open up to the doctor due to the fear of being label as a "unfit mom" but, after reading the responses to my previously post I found the courage

Reaching out
So I have decided to do something and seek some help. I’m tired of being tired and feeling hopeless. I’m tired of feeling like I can’t control anything or accomplish anything. I don’t like that I can’t afford to pay counseling and meet someone weekly to help me manage or find ways to cope with the anxiety

Hey everyone, Basically I cannot get out of bed at all, I’m just so exhausted no matter how much I sleep. At night I’m wide awake and struggle to go to sleep at a decent time. Every night I list things that I need to do and when I wake up I’m so tired I stay in bed and nothing gets done. I can’t get

The beginning of my depression/anxiety struggles
It all started for me back in 1990...in actuality, it started a lot longer that....all throughout my school years...I was constantly bullied and picked on. I was more so a tomb boy growing up...I never liked my appearance and never knew where I fit in with people and had few friends. That went all the

I am new here. I have been diagnosed with severe GAD and panic attacks. Been through hell and back and this came out of nowhere. Trying to get on meds that work and beginning counseling soon. Went for help yesterday. I am usually a very active person. I make it a point to be positive, help others and

Personal experience with Cushing’s Disease (hyperCortisolism) and with hypothroidism and hypothyroidism.
This was actually a response I wrote to a user that asked how hyperthyroidism is in tandem with hyperCortisolism. It’s long, I hope readers realize I am not an expert in what I have written, but I have lived it! Some of the way this response is worded may sound out of context, I copied it from my original
