HOW DO YOU MANAGE COMPULSIONS?
Hi. I feel helpless during compulsions. And I am taking Prozac right now, at my 1st week. Not sure if it's because of the medication or because I am giving in to compulsions all the time that's why my triggers increased. I want to know if the ultimate solution they say is NOT TO GIVE IN TO COMPULSIONS

MEAL Trial Question
Taken from a post on Pseudoscience. << The best data we have is a trial where men on active surveillance were randomized to increase their vegetable intake. It made no difference in their rate of progression. I know that no proof of an effect (like my conflicting data on most dietary practices) is not

How do you know when you have found the right Counselor?
How many of us feel we are getting the right counseling? I just worked with a specialist the last 6 months and feel somewhat better as I move back to my regular therapist.. I wonder though if there is truly someone out there that I can best connect with and feel more complete in my counseling... Is anyone

Is a hysterectomy inevitable?
I had my follow up consultation yesterday following extensive surgery (endo removed throughout the abdomen 'everywhere', a 10cm endometrioma, appendix, scar tissue, both tubes). Only diagnosed at 35 due to infertility investigations. Stage IV. I guess I was 'lucky; in that I didn't realize before and

Hello everybody.
I was in
marriage
counseling
for about 2 years up until a month ago where I decided to put out martial counseling to get individual counseling. Between a recent back injury, working from home through Covid, my depression and anxiety has been at an all time high.

New here
I keep freezing up when I try and start somewhere. I'm coming out of a bit of a crisis mindset currently. I had to have my gallbladder taken out emergently about a month ago (I turned yellow, it was wild). I was so zen during it all too, lol. Anyway, from lost work to lost wages to fighting short-term

Help - struggling to find a med and need something
Anyone had no luck with normal antidepressants due to side effects but found other medications that help? I’ve tried everything and can’t function due to side effects but when I’m off meds I am literally disabled with anxiety, panic and depersonalisation and there seems nothing I can do to improve things

Anyone know a Councilor/Therapist in North Carolina near Kings Mountain?
Does anyone know a councilor or therapist that accepts NC Medicaid? I have been told by my psychiatrist that I should get counseling.

Restrictions & mixed messages
Morning all, Been quiet for quite a long time. I’m still MRD /according to last bloods & due BMB mid August. I’ve felt slightly broken in the head for about 6wks, due to start counselling via Christie’s in a month - the last 5yrs have taken a toll and probably now it’s all hitting home. The transition

This stinks.
So, I drank last night. Depressed this morning, and now Anxiety has set in. I walked a little, sat in the park for awhile and cried. I always say I can deal with depression because I've been depressed for 40 years. Anxiety makes me feel insane and I want to die. Everything should be good. I'm going

Hi I am looking for counselling on this site as there is lots of people with anxiety. I thought it would be good to chat with those people or a counceller.

Since my last update I have been having speech therapy and my speech therapist has diagnosed the above. She is so good and has helped me understand that trauma to the brain can cause many different symptoms. Mine is my speech and memory, I remember the brutality I have experienced and the pain of what

I need help..
Hello all. I write this message with tears pouring from my eyes. I am desperate and I need help. I am a single father of a 6 year old boy with ADHD. He has the sweetest heart but lacks the ability to self regulate his behavior for long. I get notes every day from his daycare about how terrible his behavior
