Since my last update I have been having speech therapy and my speech therapist has diagnosed the above. She is so good and has helped me understand that trauma to the brain can cause many different symptoms. Mine is my speech and memory, I remember the brutality I have experienced and the pain of what he did to me but because of all the years of making me feel. Worthless I believe my brain has absorbed the negativity of his words. And over time and counselling I might improve. With much Love to you all Liz and Shelly xx

Hi Liz... I just Googled Foreign Language Syndrome and found an interview on 'This Morning' with a lady whose Staffordshire accent morphed permanently into East-European after a brain injury. I'd heard of the condition but never associated it with brain injury.
It's good to know you're finally seeing someone who understands your issues and who believes there's potential for improvement.
Wishing you success in regaining your self worth m'love ; you're such a kind and thoughtful lady. Love to you (and to the adorable Shelly)..... xx
