Relief from home made electrolyte drink
Hi all, I've been suffering from RLS for about 7-8 years now. Have refused the dopamine options continually thrust at me by GPs (who prefer to believe their pharma rep than do any research - or read here!), and have done all the iron and magnesium tests, sleep apnea, etc, with no helpful conclusions.

Mucus & slow motility
I suffer from slow bowel motility and feel I’m doing and eating the right things. It’s a ritual for me to sit up in bed in the mornings with my legs bent up to encourage a bowel movement and usually this works. When it doesn’t it gets me down. At night the discomfort of having a full bowel wakes me

My experience with Paxlovid
So my darling OH came home with Covid, and I knew right then I was doomed. Quite sure it 's the Omicron variety. It's going around in our 55+ community like a wildfire. Two home tests came up negative, but I had the symptoms. So I went to the urgent care, and there I came up positive. Because I

Magnesium Supplements - Fatigue & Migraines
In the early days of my diagnosis
magnesium
supplements were suggested (I took a generic one -
oxide
) and although did help to some degree, it unfortunately didn’t agree with my gastric system and I had to stop them.

Silly little setbacks!
I've been doing a bit of sleuthing! As a rule I don't look at anything medical on Google, but I have had a sneaky feeling that I know the cause of many of my symptoms which have been confirmed with a blood test. What with having blood transfusions, iron, magnesium and other such things, I deduce low

Alcoholic Mother
My Mum's been drinking huge amounts for over 40 years; she's now 77. She currently drinks about a bottle of gin a day. In the last few weeks she has barely eaten, has lost a lot of weight, and has become unable to walk or even stand without support. Her ankles have been extremely swollen and raw looking

Still tired?
I take 150 mg of Pregabalin for PLMD and with carefully watching food/drink triggers my PLMD is pretty much taken care of (going on 3 years). I thought the reason I still suffered from daytime sedation was the side effect of the Pregabalin (even though the 1/2 life isn't that long and I take it at 7pm

Taking Levo at night along with Mirtazapine
Hi, I am at long last starting on 25mcg of levo (Wockhardt). I take half a Mirtazapine (7.5mg) at night as I am such a poor sleeper. I have severe osteoporosis and take various supplements including calcium so taking Levo in the morning is a bit difficult with breakfast (including fortified plant

Return to big brother house
Hola, having just spent a month and a half in Spain I have now returned to Blighty and unfortunately I've had to bring my PMRGCA with me. ( we've become quite attached, its very needy) Ok so an update, still on 40mg of preds, blood thinners and beta blockers and statins, so nothing has changed there

Catch-up?
Hi all How's everyone doing? Not much activity here recently..... I've been doing some spaced apart 3, 4 and 5 day fasts to try to target some stubborn fat on my tummy. I've not been water fasting; I've been making broth from grass fed cow bones and lamb bones and drinking that daily. I'm also still

I’ve just gotten my blood results back. My ferritin is 155ng/ml. My transferrin is 2.7g/l. My transferrin saturation is 40.4 % My legs are really acting up at night, I will wake constantly, 2 hours sleep max in any stretch. I’m slow to go the medication route just yet, what would you guys suggest
