WHY DIETING IS ALSO INSISTED UPON FOR DIABETICS WHILE UNDER MEDICATION?
Once diagnosed as diabetic, doctors prescribe drugs either to induce secretions of insulin or correct the varied qualities of insulin secreted, depending on the exact cause. Food and Flare-Ups, Clinical Significance of ANA
Hi everyone, I am curious about certain foods and their connection to flare-ups. I have found that gluten, soy, dairy, and refined sugars cause a lot of problems for me. Is it common for certain foods to make symptoms worse? What foods do you find help with symptoms? My second question is about ANA

Covid and Asthma
I am on day 7 of covid. It lowers my peak flow by 30 percent or so and makes me routinely breathless. The thing that gets me is that any asthma triggers then take my breathing very quickly into dangerous territory. So I am a bit confined to no activity, very irritating.

Further advice please
As mentioned in an earlier post, I will be entering into deliberations this coming week with my oncologist and our Nuclear Medicine Team to determine my next therapy steps. As previously noted, I am currently on Cabazitaxel which is suspected to be failing due to rising PSA after three cycles. Options

Advice Please
Currently assessing efficacy of Cabazitaxel and possible next steps. Future options could include, Radium 223, Pluvicto, other. Also, Dr has put Carbolatin on the table as a “stand alone” therapy i.e., not combined with Cabazitaxel. My question: Does anyone have experience/advice with respect to

low sodium rate
another worry has set in today after getting my last blood results! My sodium level is still low (128). Only one digit higher than 3 months ago. My GP says he’s not unduly concerned at this moment, and will re-test again in 3 months. From what I’ve googled this low sodium can affect the kidneys and

VLDL results - confusing
For the last five years or so, I’ve had slightly high cholesterol , e.g. 5.7 mmol/l total, 3.4 LDL but good 1.9 HDL, 0.9 triglycerides and total/HDL ratio of 3. I get tested once a year or so. I’m not overweight and am active, etc., but I do want to bring that LDL down and made a few changes such as

LDN for RLS??
I wonder if others know about LDN? I just found out that it maybe can help RLS. LDN, in case you’re unfamiliar, is “Low Dose Naltrexone”. It’s an older medication that has to be compounded into a tiny therapeutic dose for use “off label”. It’s a known to be both an anti-inflammatory medication and

There Is Hope For CKD — My Story
I wanted to share my experience and journey with CKD with you all. I was diagnosed with CKD stage 3 about four years ago when my eGFR went to 57. I saw two nephrologists over the course of four years and had many renal tests done as well as blood work every six months. My eGFR numbers kept decreasing

SWITCHING TO INSULIN INJECTION FROM ORAL
As a Type 2, I have been managing my fasting sugar level of around 120 since the late 90s very successfully by following the devices of my USA-qualified Endocrinologist. My regular diet centered around LCHF with Diamicrone 80 twice a day. Covid-19 changed my whole system. After taking the 2nd dose

Intermittent Fasting Could Put Type 2 Diabetes Patients into Remission
The prevention or management of type 2 diabetes by following a calorie-restricted diet is not a new idea. There are now dozens of doctors' Youtube presentations on how to reverse T2D by simply cutting the carbs. Now, research from China shows it could be possible for people with type 2 diabetes to
