Temporal lobe epilepsy question
Hey folks, I have a question for those struggling with temporal lobe epilepsy to get some advice. I suffer bad with panic attacks, and do have health anxiety. Last month, though, I was panicking all day over health related anxiety and had this odd thing happen where random flashes of dreams popped in

Baby suffered viral meningitis
Hi everyone. So my poor 4 month old baby boy was diagnosed with viral meningitis last week. We spent 4 days inhospital and then was discharged as he started to feel lots better. However he is still very up and down. I understand that it’s still only early days but some days he is very happy and like

Seeing infectious diseases consultant this morning.
I have had symptoms for decades. It feels to me like more minor recurring meningitis. Five years ago at this Infectious diseases clinic, They diagnosed me with CFS/ME. It was the only thing they had left. Five years ago I didn’t know about recurring meningitis. Know that I do I am going to ask them

Having a really hard time with acceptance and perspective
Hi all, I find myself caught in this cyclical intensifying of my anxiety symptoms. In college my anxiety was very high, then for about 8 years I had no major anxiety flare ups. In the last 3-4 years, however, my anxiety or whatever this is, has gotten totally out of control. I say out of control, because

Need reassurance/health anxiety
Hey folks, I’m new here and I’m doing everything I can to combat my health anxiety. Ever since my panic attacks/agoraphobia began, I have been struggling so bad. I’ve convinced myself that every symptom I have is the most severe disease, despite the doctors saying it isn’t. Part of what fuels it is

Need to know if it’s ok from someone who has taken it personally
I’m taking 60 mg of Methadone daily unfortunately, but I continue to have restless legs at night (mostly) I bought a little package of Kratom unicorn capsules , kinda scared to take but I really want to try ! Is it safe? And is there any weird side effects? I don’t mind sleeping , cause I don’t get much

Focused Ultrasound in Switzerland
I have decided to see if I can have focused ultrasound at Sonimodul clinic in Switzerland. The neurologist there has the most experienced and 2 friends have had excellent results. I’ve collated lots of information for anyone who’s interested. https://sonimodul.ch https://www.frontiersin.org/articles

Gum boil and surgery
Has anyone here had a gum boil that required surgery? My situation has developed as the result of a fall back in the 1980s that broke my jaw. Now I have severe bone loss in the area around a tooth near the jaw break and have developed this gum boil at the surface which implies infection underneath.

Appointment with Dr. Buchfuhrer
Had first appointment with Dr. Buchfuhrer about ten days ago. He is very attentive, determined to find a solution, and his follow through is exactly as he told us it would be. He follows up immediately as he told us he would via phone and patient portal. He started my husband on Methadone, a small

Nitrous Oxide
I just wanted to warn you all about the effect of nitrous oxide. Apparently it will oxidise all the B12 in you body, rendering it useless, and can cause problems for those with low levels. I just had a general anaesthetic with gas and I think it has set back the improvement I was beginning to get. Just

A fresh look at an age old supplement. Lithium.
It never ceases to amaze me how things that I saw years ago and ignored turn out to be of far greater interest when I actually take the time to research them. Today's example is lithium. This morning I started by reading a new thread on the Parkinson's forum that linked to an interview with a doctor

Any Treatment Options?
I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Lupus/Sjrogens/Hughes (already had Hashimotos's) This came on or was triggered after being hospitalised with severe Neurological Lyme Disease where I was hospitalised for many months and with nursing care at home for nearly 2 years back in 2009 - I never really got better

Finally, relief!
For 17 years my primary care doctor had me on Alprazolam or Xanax. It started when I was having anxiety from work-related things. I noticed it stopped my RLS so the doctor reduced my dose to the lowest dose, and I'd cut it in half, besides. My doctor retired and my new doctor cut me off it. She said

Hey
I’m new here. I’ve had RLS for years and finally got a diagnosis within the last year. I found at one point they only non medical treatment that helped with RLS was marijuana. It is legal in my state. But i still would have to pay out of pocket for it. And I quit smoking almost a year and a half ago
