Is valerian ok to take with pred?
Still having difficulty sleeping due partly to pred I presume and also gastric problems (appointment with gastroenterologist tomorrow) . I do have zopoclone sleeping tablets and have taken one per night for 2 nights but reluctant to take more as know they’re are addictive . Could valerian be an alternative

HELP FOR RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME
I have RLS so bad that I walk all night and get a couple of hours of sleep every other day. I live in a nightmare. Absolutely no life. Also in augmentation from Pramipexole. I had ordered a supplement for my husband who gets bad cramps at night. The supplement immediately helped him. He told

Shingles vaccine
I'm booked to have a Shingles jab shortly. Has anyone had this while on Prednisolone? Were you okay? Any side effects.

Boils, Carbuncles and Abscesses
It has been such a long time since I have been in this space or written anything. I had a really nasty flare and and continuous colds that I thought it would never end. Since last year April I have had reoccurring boils and carbuncles. Due to Covid-19 I have not seen a GP because they would not allow

Surely this can't be right
Hello I am currently taking clonazepam half a tablet every other night as my GP was concerned about the addictive nature of the drug. It does help a little but still up every night 2/3 times but managing to get about 5/6 hrs which is a lot better than I've had at other times. I had a private neurologist

Using Kratom to come off pramipexole
I’ve been taking Pramipexole now for 13 years, two 0.088 a day. I’ve just ordered red vein kratom, which I realise can be addictive, but was wondering if anyone has used this to come off Pramipexole successfully? My last attempt was cold turkey........hellish and I know that the tramadol I was prescribed

Hypoxia?
I posted a question on a video by Dr Neale Barnard regarding RLS. A kind person posted this in response: Finnish doctor found out that the root cause of restless legs is hypoxia. So, enhancing the blood flow by lifestyle that is beneficial to glycocalyx and eNOS, is a cure 😊 Dr Dean Ornish, Campbell

Ropinirole and Gabapentin
Hi All, I'm 53 and based in the UK. I've had steadily worsening RLS and been taking 2mg of Ropinirole for around 8 years now. Over the last year my symptoms have got a lot worse and in the last couple of months I've developed spasms and jerking, mainly in my right shoulder (I've nearly punched myself

Inability to look at screens. Can’t even glance at them.
Hi everyone I’m new here and joined because my boyfriend has been suffering from an unknown condition and it seems like we can’t find anyone else who has gone through/is going through a similar thing and it has been so debilitating for him. It’s to the point where he can’t use any form of screens which

RLS and now apnea
I've had RLS for over 5 decades now, and have survived by changing drugs when each one has become ineffective. The latest drug--a semi-opioid called buprenorphine--has been the best! However, I now have central sleep apnea greatly interfering with sleep. I wake up tired and am tired throughout the day

Steroids with general anaesthetic
Do I need to double the dose of my steroids (currently 11.5) on the day of hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic and also on the day afterwards? Preop assessment didn't mention it have just been reading around and feel really nervous now. Especially as I've been taking steroids for 21 years.

Starting Ropinirole as a first med for RLS?
I have had more severe RLS since last March, which is possibly a Long-Covid symptom. So far I have had my iron/ferritin tested. My ferritin was on 25 initially but has gone up to 45 after taking oral iron supplement which I still continue to take. My RSL has not improved much yet though. It is still

Any thoughts here?
My husband was put on GABApentin, stilnox and madopar. He only used madopar once. He’s afraid to continue it. Although he did notice last night his legs were more restless without it . This process is so frustrating as he’s been withdrawing from opiates since one month. Any feedback from anyone is helpful
