Is valerian ok to take with pred?
A good approach with sleeping tablets is to not take them on consecutive nights but occasionally to break the pattern of not sleeping. Quite a few people have found various OTC sleep aids have helped but it does vary from person to person which works best so you have to experiment a bit,
stlukes-stl.com/health-cont...
mentions statins - but not corticosteroids.
There's lots of advice on line for sleep training. Lavender oil is helpful too. Unfortunately steroids mess with our sleep pattern so try to avoid computers and tv at bedtime. Try reading or knitting.
I have a cup of tea from valerian leaves every evening n certainly no bad side effects and I think it helps me go to sleep. The taste might seem strange for some people though!
I also use zopiclone and have found 1/4 cup tart cherry juice gives really good sleep.
Many thanks everyone for all the sleep tips I will start to experiment!
