Tinnitus and Azithromycin
Hi Guys, I wrote a post around September about my tinnitus. My Lung Consultant was not convinced that Azithromycin was causing the tinnitus nor was he happy with my GP for merely saying she could not help with tinnitus as there is no cure and could only help me if I noticed a loss of hearing. Well

Long term effects of childhood meningitis. Would like to Hear from others.
My son was diagnosed with Meningococcal septicaemia at 7 months old. Although he was very poorly, he responded well to the antibiotics and thankfully made a full recovery, free from complications. He did have sleep issues for a couple of years afterwards- waking, terrified & screaming, almost paralysed

I am hearing my pulse in my ear and light headed
Hi everyone, I am new here. I recently been having shortness of breath, chest tightness and I visit Dr about 3 times. They did blood work, ekg, chest X-ray,ct scan of the lung and all was normal. I am doing acupuncture and taking B complex vitamins, magnesium, fish oil, I need to drink more water though.

Why Are The Genome Sequences in Modern Humans Found Responsible for Autism?
# Lack of verbal communication # Stereotyped behaviour # Lack of eye contact # Repetitive behaviour #
Learning
disabilities
# Cognitive disabilities etc. So, early diagnosis at the early stage (at childhood) of autism or ASD can help to take the control over it.

Ménière's too
Does anyone else have Ménière's as well as SSc? I've had symptoms of Ménière's for 18 months but consultant said no definitive diagnoses as my hearing test was normal although it was likely. Episodes of tinnitus and dizziness have increased recently and I had a bad episode whilst driving. GP says

Self Referral to see Prof Hughes
Hi. I am going to self refer to see Prof Hughes, but would like to know if : - 1. Can I ask for all records, notes, lab results and scan from MRI on brain and could they refuse? 2. Would I need to put this in writing to each hospital dept? 3. Is there an admin charge for each dept? 4. Has anyone encountered

What after care did your child get?
My baby was diagnosed with meningitis B at 11 months old. Thankfully she recovered and is now a beautiful happy 17 month old. My question is what care did you receive once your child was discharged from hospital? My little girl had 1 follow up appointment with the consultant where he asked general question

Good news for once!
I booked a hearing test on tuesday because iv`e been concerned about my hearing as a result of missing what people are saying on tv now & again. I had the test today, & the results were exellent according to the woman who did the test. She said my hearing was at the top range for someone of my age, which

Feeling very sorry for myself today - so glad you folks are out there.
I am a so called "professional" woman, I founded and run my own charity for people with
learning
disabilities
- I haven't been to work since before last Christmas. I am constantly tired and fatigued, could sleep all day, become exhausted after mild exertion.

Oh well!
The last time I went to Papworth Thoracic Outpatients clinic the doctor said I should have a hearing test as the antibiotic Azytheromycin, which I take everyday can affect your hearing. I told him I was deaf in my left ear anyway. This morning I went to the West Suffolk Hospital for my hearing test
