The painful grey area between disabled and non disabled
Disabled seems only to apply to people who have obvious physical
disabilities
and
learning
disabled is a term mostly used for people with a low IQ. He is neither but he is very vulnerable and I feel people like him have no classification that applies to them and are therefore overlooked for help.

My daughter was diagnosed with bacterial meningococcal septicaemia after repetitive visits to the doctor at 10 weeks old back in 1984, the only symptoms being an "unusual

To all the parents...
My little boy had meningococcal meningitis in March 2013 when he was 1years old, since then we have had several hearing tests due to routine and then I requested some due to his speech. The hearing tests have been clear thankfully but I'm still a little concerned about his speech as he is coming up to

Newly diagnosed, on Levothyroxine and feeling worse
I do a physical job, I'm a carer for people with physical and

disabilities
, working full time with two children. I am utterly exhausted. I am barely able to function anymore. I come home and everything hurts.

Hearing test post bacterial meningitis
My little girl had bacterial meningitis at 10 days old but was aggressively treated and seems to have made a good recovery. She is now 10 months old and we went today for a hearing test ( she has already had one at 2 months old that was fine). I noticed that she didn't react to quiet sounds consistently

B12 & Hearing Loss
Hi! Does anyone else suffer from hearing loss- low pitch sounds? I ask my GP for a referral over 2 years ago for a hearing test. I was told there was nothing wrong with my hearing. I asked for another referral in January 2015. It's taken 6 months to get an appointment. I was at hearing clinic yesterday

I can't believe that I have to do the work without the support of my parents (deal with my
learning
disabilities
and mental illnesses). My mother was a teacher who never gave me emotional/mental support but abusive treatment all my life.

Tinnitus from Thyroxine
Hello all. I am hoping that someone on here has some experience that is similar to my own, but successfully got to the bottom of it. I have been on MercuryPharma Thyroxine alternate 25mcg/50mcg for a couple of years and developed strange hearing problems. I work in a normal office, with sound levels
