Im new!
During this time I have given up work as a community nurse for people with
Learning
Disabilities
mainly because I kept getting infections eg. ear nose throat infections and was finding it extremely tiring.

Pardon!!!
Hi all just been on another post and it mentioned hearing problems so i wondered how many of you have problems hearing. I can't tollerate high pitched noises as they are painful i find it difficult to hear in noisy areas and tend to tune out in crowds which can come across rude but i can't help it thankfully

Fairness, Respect, Equality, Dignity, and being me!
I know that friends who have children and young adults with complex physicial,
learning
and emotional
disabilities
are constantly fighting for that fairness, and people with hidden disabilities have to fight even harder to convince people that their condition is truly debilitating.

Supporting parents with learning disabilities to look after new babies
This gives parents with
learning
disabilities
a chance the to develop the skills they need to be good enough parents. We hope to see a similar response from services in England, where many parents with
learning
disabilities
still have their babies taken away soon after they are born.

The 'Power of Information - The Information strategy for public health, adult social care and for the NHS in England'
We also hope that more will be done to make sure that all key health information is provided in a way that people with

can access and understand. Without this people with

are at risk of being left behind in the information revolution.

Someone pass me a fresh wet fish!
I am totally over the shock of losing my ESA Tribunal. I have been more focused on a point of anger this last few days. At the end on the Drs questions the judge had two things to ask me, or discuss with me. 1. Q.You claim to have hearing problems, yet you have heard us throughout! A. Because

Recently diagnosed - glue ear too
Hi. My 3 year old has recently been diagnosed with asthma. Main/only real symptom being a cough, (until recently) mainly at night. I've identified that house dust mite is a probable trigger, but I think this is not the only one. I feel really lost in trying to work out triggers, I'm sure I will get

Sense of hearing
Research has shown that the majority of asthmatics have a greater audio frequency hearing range than non asthmatics, and this goes for what ever age range you are in. I recently had a hearing test and the audiologist confirmed that my frequency hearing range was above the norm. Anyone else notice this

Whats the future for my boy?
My now 9month old son contracted bacterial meningitis just over 3 months ago. He spent 3 weeks in hosp. At first he had no neck control and was like a newborn again but has since mostly regained that. At his most recent app with neurology they said his cognitive skills r good but his motor skills are

Intolerances to nearly all foods!! Its easier to put what my son can eat!!
Even on this diet he gets distented but he also suffers from hyper-mobility syndrome with associated
learning
disabilities
and ADD. If you saw him you couldnt tell he had all these problems and is the most loving boy you could meet.
