Hello, I have a daughter with learning disabilities and her friend at the day centre also has learning disabilities but she doesn't have a diagnosis. She is 20. Her Mum has English as a second language so I am helping her.

Hello all my fellow warriors I have two boys my oldest has learning disabilities ans adhd odd basically he's on the spectrum but he is 20 this year and is unlikely ever be able to live independently and was told I must get deputyship for him as I'm his appointee and not all can be done with that alone

They have said he isn’t entitled to one, as he is coded as having Learning difficulties and not Learning disabilities and they can’t find any letters to say he has learning disabilities, only ones that state Learning difficulties.

Besides living with autism, I have been diagnosed with ADHD, Learning Disabilities (LD), Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), and Sjögren's Syndrome. An MRI was negative, but previous assessments confirmed right-sided temporal atrophy.

But then Head of Adult learning disabilities contacted me. I explained it was not a learning disabilities problem. Waited until Tuesday but still heard nothing. So followed up and more to my original email .

She has an IEP for "learning disabilities". We had her privately evaluated and she was diagnosed with ADHD. We are requesting a 504 for ADHD and want to keep the IEP in place for the learning disability. The accommodations would co exist. Does anyone have experience with this?

I have asked my GP for a learning disabilities assessment to keep getting help from a family support worker, but He said that He would chase my ASD assessment instead.

Hi , I am a Mum to a beautiful young lady(23) who happens to have learning disabilities. Looking to the future I really what her to gain independence and she also is very keen for this. I just really don't know who ,what or where I go to get her supported living.

We work in partnership with health and social care organisations to coproduce our work, in this case it was MacIntyre, a charity who provide learning, support and care for people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people.

My daughter is in supported housing with 2 other adults who all have complex physical needs and learning disabilities. Recently some social workers visited and announced that the number of care hours was being reduced.

I'm helping our local museum become more welcoming to people with disabilities, including learning disabilities. My autistic 23 year old son loved the visit, because they have a small sensory room, toys and a few exhibits that spin.
