MY STRANGE LIPID PROFILE!
I asked the doctor if this wasn't abnormal and he said it wasn't and congratulated me on the low
LDL
level. I can't quite believe this to be true. What's your take on this?

Hi all, I couldn't find anything about this posted previously (but then I'm not sure if my search is working properly!!) So apologies if there's any repeat. So I've had crohns 17 years. I'm not the worlds greatest advocate of long term pharmaceuticals, it has to be said. I was on azathioprine for

Is cholesterol a myth?
My hdl was 1.6,
ldl
3.4 and triglycerides were 3.0. Total 6.9. I hadn't fasted and blood taken at 1pm after 2 meals that day. Gp said at 37, non smoker and slim i was not at risk and to follow and low fat diet. He's not tested me since. I worry because a low fat diet has not agreed with me.

3 Years past FCR
After a FCR ride from 10/13 -4/14, with more or less no side effects, I went in CR and MRD -! Since then, blood counts were always in normal range. I have been doing well since end of treatment, enjoying a normal life with quarterly or all six months checking in hospital After one year past treatment

Anyone else taking low dose naltrexone?
I've been taking ldn since 7/15 and I can't say I find my life much different. I've been ill (flu, cold/virus, sinus problems) three times since Nov so in terms of helping to 'balance' my immunity I can't see any evidence of that. I'm about to have my thyroid antibodies tested and I hope to see some

Thyroid. Rising TSH. New to Community
Thirdly, I believe that thyroid function is responsible for making
LDL
receptors on the cells. Not enough thyroid hormone, not enough receptors and too much
LDL
hanging around in the blood. My Cholesterol seems high, has been 7+ now 6+ , seemed it reduced as my inflammation marker dropped.

I came across a couple of sites that say that Parkinson may possibly an autoimmune disease. That a Low Dose Naltrexone has helped a lot of get off Parkinson meds. There is a lady who went on it and no longer has Parkinson symptoms and clearly had Parkinsons, video is on You Tube. Search LDN. Has anyone
