Vasculitis vs arteriosclerosis, getting pregnant after a CABG and statin/diet questions!
Hi! I’m 34 and have just had a CABG, I’m 6 weeks post op and feel almost back to normal. Yes, I know, I’m young and have bounced! They think that my coronary arteries were damaged by vasculitis I (might) have had when I was 19, it wasn’t diagnosed at the time as I had just classic viral symptoms although

Skipping meds? Higher cholesterol due to humira?
Additionally, I was surprised to see a significant increase in cholesterol (and
LDL
) after starting humira injections a year ago. Wondering if anyone has experienced the same. Your sharing and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. Mymymy

Does Prednisolone affect Cholesterol levels and blood pressure??
Back in February (pre PMR) my cholesterol was HDL - 1.5 and
LDL
3.8. Six months later (four months after commencing Pred) my levels are now HDL - 2.4 and
LDL
- 5.0!! My levels have never moved by much over the years and this was something of a shock particularly as it has happened so quickly.

Hi Everyone, As I have reported on here, I am in the very slow process of lobbying to get an extension of my allocation of TCZ. This will take ages, I know … Federal Parliament is sitting at the moment, an election is looming, and our current Health Minister is retiring after the election. Not a good

Hello, sorry I ask “alotl” questions.
I have very high cholesterol,
LDL
, and triglycerides. I am trying to weigh out whether to take a statin drug, since doing so will likely worsen my neuropathy.

JAK2 and TET2
Does anyone else here have this double mutation? After nearly three years of Pegasys my JAK2 has dropped from over 80% to c. 14% but my TET2 has only dropped from 55% to 40%. Got results of my recent BMB and no change in fibrosis, still ‘an increase in thin reticulin, especially in areas of focal clustering

Latest monitor my health results.
Here are my blood test results, not all have ranges though, which is annoying. Vitamin D 172 nmol/L no range. Said it is high and I should stop taking it as too much can be harmful and there can be no more benefit derived from continuing to take it. Cholesterol profile 5.8 mmol/L( no range included
