I had the Thyroid uptake scan where I swallowed radioactive iodine and came back 24 hours later for a scan. If that is what you are referring to? It showed I had a Goiter and that was how my thyroid journey began. I was 31. It has been many years since then, trying to adjust my meds to compensate for this! I would say do not give up, and be patient in your struggles to find the right balance of Armour thyroid and Synthetic (levothyroxine) thyroid meds to regulate your problems. It is possible to live a good life! FYI I take 90 mg of Armour thyroid twice a day and also 50 mcg of levothyroxine twice a day. I need more than my body can handle once a day so my dosage is divided into half in the morning and half at night. I hope this helps you a little! Prayers for you.

Yes, but the one I'm doing is 4 days long. I had thyroidectomy for cancer 3yrs ago and my ultrasounds of my neck have been crazy so they want to make sure I don't have distant spread. Did you do 2 weeks of low iodine diet? How did that go.

No, I did not do 2 weeks of low iodine diet. Because I did not have cancer, I only had a goiter, my info is different. I am praying for you and hope you find an answer.
