Is LASIK surgery a viable option?
I have been wearing spectacles for a long time. In between, I changed to contact lens but then managing that was getting difficult so I reverted back to wearing spectacles. I’m having myopia so I can’t manage without the glasses. So I have to wear it day and night while doing all other sorts of things

Gabapentin caused congestive heart failure
My ex doctor refused to give me
Lasix
, and when I told him I was having symptoms of an allergic reaction he told me to take it anyway. Yesterday I had an echocardiogram and the results were "good". I'm very thankful for that. I've reduced the Gabapentin gradually from 3600mg to 300mg.

Bilateral knee problems after a recent bout with Lymphoedema in legs
(
Lasix
would work but the swelling would automatically return once the medicine was stopped.) Has anyone experienced this? If so, what did you do? I'm beginning to think I have bilateral knee problems that coincidentally occurred with the venous insufficiency and lymphoedema.

Chf and 92 yr old mother
She takes 40 mgs of
lasix
, Eliquis, metoprolol, magnesium, and Lipitor. What would help her at this point? The cardiologist seems to be just managing her condition, but she is getting more uncomfortable with her symptoms. The only symptom she doesn’t have is a cough.

Myopia IS reversible
Hello everybody I just wanted to tell anyone who might be interested that myopia IS, in fact, reversible. I follow the program at Endmyopia.org and have reduced my diopters from -7.00 to -4.50 in 6 months. I was not only sick and tired of wearing glasses/contacts, but also started to fear retinal

My thoughts (long and maybe trigger warning)
I’ve been dealing with a lot of intrusive thoughts lately, I find myself obsessing over vulnerability. When I hear of suicidal deaths or cancers or seeing little kids be so care free, I some way or some shape or some form or fashion , feel afraid for them. That something BAD may happen or WILL happen

Decreasing GFR
I am 48 I have stage 3 congestive heart failure and I take 80mg of
Lasix
a day plus 25 mg of spironolactone. These are both diuretics. My blood work showed that my GFR has dropped 20 points in less than 2 months. I was at 104 now less then 2 months later 84. Should I be concerned?

Ablation recommended for my mother at 92 yrs old?
She is on metoprolol,
Lasix
, levoxythyroxin, magnesium and Eliquis. Since the afib seems to have stepped up a bit, he is recommending an ablation of the circuit board of the heart. Has anyone ever had an ablation at this age and how did it go??

Cirrhosis makes me sleep all day & night -- any remedies?
I take statins to protect my heart, valsartan to protect my kidneys, and
lasix
to reduce edema. I also take milk thistle. I'm really desperate to find something that will help keep me awake. I feel as if my whole life has been stolen by sleep. Thanks for any suggestions! -- Judy

Is there a lymphedema-thyroid connection? I
and take extra
Lasix
. I had already tried that to no avail. But I had seen my EP and he said I have no CHF sx and am actually doing very well. So it is not heart related.
