Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy in a week.
My
laparoscopy
and hysteroscopy is in a week and I’m worried about it. What can I expect to feel like when I come round from the op? Not had any kind of surgery since I was 4 years old. I’m now 30. What can a
laparoscopy
diagnose? If they find anything while in there, will they get rid of it?

Being past from pillar to post in the NHS & told that I can opt to have voluntary diagnostic surgery (
laparoscopy
) but it’s not guaranteed they’ll find Endo!! & their wait list is so long!

Did you ovulate straight after first period following laparoscopy and excision of endo?
Just wondering what to expect, had my period 9 days post op, lasted 6 days and was heavy and painful for the last 4 days of it. I’m trying to track my ovulation with OPK’s and don’t appear to have ovulated yet when the app I have is telling me my peak day in my fertile window was yesterday. Does the

Endo and bowels
Morning. I’m getting really frustrated at the moment. I seem to have no end of problems with endo on the bowel. I either can’t go or can’t stop and seem to have pain either way. I have confirmed endo after having an extremely large endo cyst removed abo it 4 years ago and waiting for a lap but that

Reoccurrence of endo post surgery
I had my
laparoscopy
in October where I had adhesions, cysts and endometriosis. I was told by the consultant /surgeon that she got everything and it may take years to return if ever. I left feeling full of hope, and those first poops the week after were a dream haha! (No nausea or pain!)

Push for a Laparoscopy?
I've been dealing with extremely painful periods for years and am pretty sure I have endo symptoms. I'm currently trying to get a diagnosis but don't know when to stop. A couple of years ago I had an ultrasound that came back clear so the GP said there's no point pushing further as the treatment is the

Zoladex vs merina coil vs surveillance MRI
I have stage 4 endo with a few laparoscopies and laser treatment. I want to avoid surgery (as I’m full of adhesions) and have been offered zoladex to try or merina coil (no idea why but coil petrifies me as it’s so painful even having a smear!). Last time I had the progesterone implant it negatively

Five years cancer-free!
Actually this is a bit late. As of February 2022, I am 5 years cancer free after robotic laparoscopic prostatectomy with Gleason 4/3 and stage 2 prostate cancer. My latest PSA showed <0.1 ng/ml., i.e., undetectable. I am so glad I chose to have the prostatectomy and not radiation. I have required no

One day... I bet one day we will be treated the same way...
I know this is migraine and not PD but this is really a dramatic breakthrough in neurology. I think the question has to be asked by patients and neurologists alike, is it still going to be ethical when these guys have accomplished their phase III trials to continue to research invasive expensive solutions

Anyone else finally been diagnosed with endometriosis after years of being dismissed?
I had my
laparoscopy
yesterday after trying for 4 years to get it! As soon as I came out of surgery they told me it was endometriosis and I burst out crying purely from being relieved that I hadn’t been making up how much pain I was in.

Post lap and intercorse
I finally had my
laparoscopy
12 days ago, I had endo removed from the back of my womb and cervix, they also found that my colon is stuck to old scar tissue from where I had my appendix removed 15 years ago (unfortunately they couldn't do anything as it could've caused complications).

My travels through FND
My body and mind have seemed to be on a constant search for absolute disassociation over my lifetime and especially the last few years. I would say that my body and mind finally found its height of disassociation once I started to have Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). I have also struggled

Sudden, intense pain in butt...
So I'm currently on the waiting list for a diagnostic
laparoscopy
(🎉) but I've been doing my best to monitor symptoms in the meantime. This happened a couple of weeks ago (about a week post ovulation, not that I know if that made any odds rlly).

Bowel surgeon requested
July just gone I had my
laparoscopy
to which I was told I had no endometriosis but I did have adenomyosis and scar tissue on my bowel. However since this my bowel symptoms have progressively gotten worse.

Nerve pain and insomnia post hysterectomy
Hi, I am only 3 weeks post vaginal hysterectomy and laparoscopic surgery removing everything including cervix. All went well however I’ve been suffering with insomnia and awful what I can only describe as nerve pain….it feels like my skin is crawling and it’s constantly burning and prickling all over

TERRIBLE UTI FEELING FOR A MONTH POST SURGERY.
Hello ladies. I am having the worst time with intense bladder pain post diagnostic lap. UTI come back negative for infection so it appears its not bacterial. Anyone else had this experience and able to offer advice? It's crippling and much worse than the pain I had pre surgery. I can't bear more weeks

Diagnosed after laparoscopy, call for support and how to cope with work?
Hello everyone, First of all, thanks for reading and being active on this forum. It’s nerve-racking to write here for the first time. I’ve had a major health struggle the past year, been pushed and thrown around from doctor to hospital, and finally I’ve been diagnosed: endometriosis. My medical history

Post-surgery sick leave
I am due to have my second
laparoscopy
next week, the first being about 8 weeks ago. While the first one was more diagnostic with some treatment for adhesions, this next one will be slightly more complicated as it involves my bowel and ureters.
