Please can someone help me! I was in hospital again two weeks ago with suspected appendicitis as I had lower right sided abdo pain(again). July just gone I had my laparoscopy to which I was told I had no endometriosis but I did have adenomyosis and scar tissue on my bowel. However since this my bowel symptoms have progressively gotten worse. Anyway after my admission last week my bloods was indicating that my appendix was fine so they done me an ultrasound scan instead, which the synographer order me to demand a second opinion regarding my laparoscopy. She informed me that during my scan she was picking up on factors that in her years of scanning has always indicated to the patient in fact having endometriosis. One of them being that my ovaries are to close to my womb basically touching! Anyway today I’ve had a letter to say that I gave an appointment with the bowel surgeon which I’ve waited for for 2 years! What should I expect from this appointment ? Does this mean I will be having bowrl surgery?

HI Adeno2020, hope you're ok. Sounds like your overwhelmed not just by your symptoms, but the contrasting information you've been given! Don't panic. It's great that you finally have your appointment with the bowel surgeon. I would relay your experience to him and your concerns about endo, especially after your ultrasound appointment with the sonographer. I would even ask the doctor if he can recommend an endo-specialist for a second opinion regarding your symptoms - a lot of endo-gynaes work closely with bowel specialists because that's where most people tend to get a lot of endometriosis!Don't feel pressure about surgery, for now just gather information. I hope that helps x
Thankyou I’ll speak to them and ask for him to refer the second opinion, came on my period again this morning! My last period was the beginning of the month the 3rd so this is my second one this month. I always notice that when I come on my period I don’t go toilet for about 4-5 days coming up to it… I don’t feel constipated thankfully but I haven’t been so 4 or 5 days and this is everytime I bleed
Constipation is a symptom of endometriosis. I would experience very painful episodes. I highly recommend Psyllium Husk. It's high fibre content helps you go to the loo. You need to consume it with a lot of water, as with all fibre supplements. As they say, better out than in!
