12cm tumour fit through a Laporoscopy?
Surely there is more chance of it rupturing during a
laparoscopy
and spilling cancer cells everywhere? Please let me know if anyone has any advice. Thanks everyone

10 miles of "Timid not Tough" or how I avoided the "Puddle of Doom"
The weather gods were kinder for Sunday's 10 miler on the Temple Newsam Estate than past years. The race has been going for about seven years hosted by the very lovely St Theresa's Athletic Club (STAC) and the conditions in the past have been on occasions pretty brutal. It consequently attracts a lot

Any advice on post-op pain management?
I’ve just joined this community after having my first
laparoscopy
yesterday. I have been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis and I’ve had cyst removals. Any advice on how to manage the pain and discomfort of the post-op would be greatly appreciated!

Undecided whether to have another surgery or try medical treatment
Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with Mild Endometriosis after a
laparoscopy
in June to remove a cyst found Endo on my urethera. The surgeon that did the initial
laparoscopy
said she didn’t not want to attempt excision due to where it was and did not want to risk damaging my organs.

Pad problems post laproscopy cysectomy
I have my lap 2 weeks okay and started my period on Wednesday (4 days earlier than I was due on) my consultant said no tampons for my first period but the pads are rubbing so much and making me sore. I'm 27 and suffer from bad anxiety so the fear of smelling and everything around periods causes me so

What now?
So I had my post surgery appointment with my specialist a few weeks ago, I've been trying to digest what he said...but honestly I feel so deflated and like I'm going in circles. My hospital is BSGE registered, and there's only 1 other hospital that is BSGE in my region, so I feel stuck. Basically he

hysterectomy or not?
I had surgery (
laparoscopy
) 2 years ago where a cyst was removed from an ovary and endometriosis was confirmed and some clearing was attempted. Now I am due for another surgery but this time with an endometriosis specialist.

Still not on Lap waiting list, could a MRI (private or NHS) help confirm endometriosis?
Hi everyone, I was told nearly a year ago after 10+ years of advocating for a lap that I would finally be put on the waiting list. I have just found out the gynaecologist did not put me on it. I have another appointment with her at the end of the month to discuss this devastating news, should I pressure

IUD removal with general anaesthetic
Hi! I have been living with suspected endometriosis since I was 14. Flooding, heavy periods and intense stomach and back pain have plagued my life. In 2020 I was finally sent to see a gynaecologist after a decade of medical gaslighting. I ended up leaving with an IUD I never wanted or requested. The

Does anyone else experience this with bowel movements?
Im still waiting for my
laparoscopy
and the gp wants to see me to check how my amitriptyline is doing for my chronic pains in a few weeks so I might mention some stuff to them because it's taking every fibre of my being to not be depressed about my health at this point.

stage 4
I got diagnosed with stage 4 endo in may after I had a
laparoscopy
to remove a 4cm endometrioma. I didn’t know I had it. I had been having heavy periods for a few days a month but put it down to my age 45.

Getting a Diagnosis
I’ve had a look and it seems the
laparoscopy
is the best way to get it diagnosed. I’m trying to be very practical about it. So how do you have that conversation with a doctor? Or do you ask for a nurse? Do you ask for a specialist?

Endometriosis and FET
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience in having a lap for endo close to FET. I had to pause treatment due to OHSS, but due to start again next month for transfer. I have stage 4 endo and the pains are getting a lot worse again and I haven’t had a lap for two years. Would it be best for me to

had cousin’s kids for a week. Terminally tired
I’m so wiped out and exhausted I could cry. I have a cousin who’s a total loser and I ended up taking care of his kids and basically being their guardian. They live in a children’s home most of the time but as a caregiver my husband and I have them on long school weekends and holidays. We don’t have

Reason to be cheerful
Obvs a lot of people are really worried about heart diseases in this forum. TBH I sometimes share those concerns ... but in general I try to post positive reassuring posts about CHD and CAD. I'm 63 (64 in a few days) and have been really busy with a nerdy consultancy project. Quite by chance the project
