Obvs a lot of people are really worried about heart diseases in this forum. TBH I sometimes share those concerns ... but in general I try to post positive reassuring posts about CHD and CAD.
I'm 63 (64 in a few days) and have been really busy with a nerdy consultancy project. Quite by chance the project landed in my lap ... and it's really fun to be engaged in something that I enjoy.
But the really good news is that it is 16 years and 9 days since my CABG × 4 by Prof David Taggart in Oxford.
A few dodgy health issues have arisen since (e.g., sleep apnoea and simple (but very big) kidney cysts.) But generally I'm fit and well ... and a world traveller since the dark days.
Positive thinking helps a lot ... as does rethinking life goals. Best thing is I have acquired 5 grandkids in 5 years.
Having heart disease is not the end of the world.
Happy New Year.

Thanks for your positive input. Yes, it's been necessary to re-evaluate things, but there are still plenty of positive things out there. Happy New Year and enjoy the grandchildren.
Once again you have cheered me up sir ! Fishing for info is what I’ve been doing and I’ve been snagging a few nasty rocks. Thanks for this reminder that I can do it and that it is possible to live a decent life post CAD diagnoses … now I should turn my bloody phone off. Happy New Years 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this post. I had a STEMI and 2 stents November 2021. I'm now 45 (44 at the time of my HA) I have been struggling mentally. I've had problems with medication not agreeing with me. It's been hell to be honest. Sometimes I feel like giving up but I carry on regardless.
