I want my Prednisone back
I came off my taper on Friday, just in time for MTX. I can still see my knuckles, which is nice (as well as slightly odd, I wonder how long they've been missing before I noticed) but my hands are swelling again and the ball of my left foot feels like it's caught in a bear-trap. Hubby checked, and there

Knee replacement
I am to have a knee replacement in 2 weeks time. I will have an epidural. I have to go this week for a pre- admission assesment.this is going to take 2 hours! I haven't had a pre- admission assessment before. What on earth do they do for 2hours? Anyone else had an epidural for knee replacement?

Thought I had better update everyone since I haven't posted in such a long time. I recently had a knee replacement of a knee replacement. This surgery was on March 6, 2015. The surgery went great, but wow...the pain I am having since is almost unbearable!! I was in the hospital from the day of surgery

Excruciating pain in knee area 2 years after full knee replacement
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago (am relatively young for one but have had wonky kneecaps since birth so my knees have worn out faster than they should) in one knee. Recovery has been very good. Am at the point now where everything had settled and was doing well. However, every so often I get this

anxiety going back to work after out for knee surgery.
I have been a teacher for 15 years and am suffering from severe social anxiety and panic attacks. I seem to go through these times when I am isolated on sick leave or surgery, plus I work in an inner city school where the students are difficult to begin with and I have been threatened before. I know

Update on Mum's Knee
Hi All An update on Mum's knee, we saw an Orthopaedic Registrar just after Christmas who said the only real option Mum would have had if she did not have the Multiple Myeloma was the knee replacement. The other option was a steroid injection into the joint but she would not be sure of being able to

And possibly another condition as well!
For the past year I have had consistently high blood pressure results which I have said is not normal for me. I'm now on 3 lots of tablets for it but it still doesn't come down. The a couple of months a go two consultants thought that my face looked as though I had Cushings (fat, round face). Both arranged

Hi Guys. Happy New Year to you all. Just wondering if anyone can help me please (well my Mum). My Mum has had sero positive RA (which I have now been diagnosed with) for the last 28 years. Her left knee is badly affected with osteoarthritis to the point where the two bones are rubbing together.

I was diagnosed with APS about 10 years ago by my Rheumatologist who took a history on me at our first visit. With my menstrual history pregnancy problems and the fact that I have SLE he tested me for APS. I did test positive for APS Lupus Anticoagulant and Factor IV and was tested again at a later

Hi Everyone I have a printout of my bloodtest taken in October and have attached this. I have also had a bloodtest this week and following a call this morning know that this shows low Vit D (it was forgotten on the attached printout) so have been asked to see my Dr. I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 2000

has anyone had knee replacement surgery?
I had knee replacement almost 2 years ago and my knee has never stopped hurting and swelling since. Now the Dr. thinks the artificial knee may be loose. I think it may be due to the Parkinson's and from walking so badly. Anyone else have any experience with this and what did you do about it?
