Hi, I am 49 and had a knee replacement 9 years ago due to a severe knee injury. Well, I guess knee replacements are not for the young because I have worn a part of it out and have to have it replaced on the 23rd. I am freaking out, wondering what effect this is going to have on my MS. It is a huge surgery! Could it cause a relapse?
Does anyone have any hints on how to deal with major surgery?
Thanks,
Krissy

They have come a long way in knee surgery over the last nine years. My brother had both completely done two years ago, I mean both are titanium. He is back playing racket ball at 69 years young👍. I have had several surgeries since I have had ms and no problems with ms during or after surgery 👍. Good Luck and prayers are with you 👍🙏😉Ken 🐾🐾
I just had a total knee replacement and all is well. I am 59. I pray all goes well. Relax, pray, take one day at a time. Do the PT exercises they tell you. I didn’t have any MS issues. In PT I had a small spasm on top of my knee. But some massage around scar relieved my problem. Use ice to help to deal with the pain.
