Joint pain on Quitiapine
Hi, Has anybody experienced the side effect of joint / bone pain and muscle weakness on Quitiapine? I've been on this for 4.5 months and am on 400mg (from 600mg) and this has escalated for me (despite my dose reducing) to the point that I'm considering coming off/ switching meds. From a mental health

Inflammatory Arthritis - My Diagnosis?
From what I can see Inflammatory Arthritis is an umbrella term, and can cover several diseases, so I'm non the wiser really. My Rheumatologist came to this diagnosis after my ultrasound highlighted inflammation in both my hands and wrists. She also said I have some ana in my blood, but could not sure

When best time of day to take plaquenil?
Hello I have just been reading that plaquenil can cause insomnia and nightmares which I suffer with. I take my plaquenil with my evening meal. When is the best time to take it? Would it be best in the morning? I also take in the morning thyroxine, omeprazole and co-codamol, would it interfere with

Vitamin A debate 😊
Hi everyone Looking in my local pharmacy, I didn't see vitamin A. I'm wondering how many of you are taking it. Also how much are you taking? Do you have to order it? I Know your not supposed to take over 10,000 safety. I was thinking cod liver oil. Anyone use that? Do you feel it's helping you

Full blood results raised TSH several highlighted results high b12. Have a look and see what you think?
Hello Full blood results for all you clever people. TSH is raised and antibodies are low. I suspect I've been a bit thyroid odd for a long time but just got on with it and not found it too bad. My mum is also borderline underactive but again, copes with it. I started in March with sudden hair loss,

NEXT STEP - PAINFUL
Hi everyone, hope you are having a good day. Just thought I would give an update. Haven’t managed to get in to work today, feeling very tired and sore after having my joints squeezed, bent and twisted every way yesterday. Saw my Rheumatology Nurse and was so pleased for this appointment as I am beginning

Frustration!
Went to see my specialist today, have to say have come away even more confused than ever. I currently take hydroxychloroquine which doesn't have any effect on my pain so was put on a tapered course of prednisolone for a month which also had no effect and finished last week. My CRP levels are still elevated

what meds can I ask Dr for with so many conditions?
I need painkillers off dr and she doesnt want me on more than paracetamol. Co codamol is contraindicated in emphysema. I do not believe it is unsafe for me to take every kind of painkillers nhs can offer. So am asking for names of painkillers please. I will check all info presented and then discuss

What is like being "normal"?
Hey everyone, A daft question again:) Sufasalazine has kicked in or at least blood tests show that. However I still have quite puffy knuckles after a working day (see pic) while all the girls help now. A few months ago I couldn't open my hands for days or even weeks, so I guess it is a progress though

New and confused?!
Hi all. Hope you are all well. I have a long and painful medical history which I will put in below but not in too much detail. Feel free to ask questions - I am not shy about sharing! I apologise in advance for the long and rambling post. 2009 - had a partial hysterectomy, left ovaries took everything

IBS - pain under left rib coming and going - misery!
Hi all, I have only just recently been diagnosed with IBS - though I think I have probably had it for a long time…! Right now - its causing me misery…… And yes - its much worse in the evenings. I tend to get relief from it overnight. I am also a real stickler for not taking too many meds, I don't

What next?
Hi everyone, I'm posting as had a horrible night and still in pain now as I sit on the sofa and type this, and I know you will understand. I had my lap 10 days ago, to check for suspected endo and adeno. Dr said he couldn't find endo but did suspect I had adeno. My womb is larger than normal and along

Noisy painful joints
Hi all. So happy to find this forum it's wonderful! I'm at the start of my thyroid journey, think it's going to be a long road ahead.... I've started taking a few supplements to help with certain symptoms, iron for anemia and b12 but the thing I'm not sure is for my joints. They are awfully noisy

Not always high end scale pain but it's always there. I'm struggling so much recently. 2 years ago I was a lively gym enthusiast who enjoyed life. Now
