Jim is back in hospital
Jim was taken to hospital a week today with blood clots and peeing blood again luckily he was quickly transferred to castle hill in hull a specialist hospital. He is very poorly and he has stopped eating since he had radiotherapy. The consultant said he wants to operate and take out the dead kidney.

Kidney Donation to someone over 70 from donor who is over 70
I am 71 years old and considering donating a kidney to my sister who is 72. If you are in this age category and have donated to someone also the same age category, can you let me know the results? Also, I get gastrointestinal problems and migraines and I wonder if this will exacerbate the problem.

Alternative/Natural therapies for RLS
For those who want to manage their RLS without medication, there are recent science articles on Paeoniae Alba, a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine. It seems interesting. I'm too far down the medication route but for those newly diagnosed or with milder RLS or those who do not want to take Alpha2Delta

Protein in urine
Hello, I’m currently 38+6 weeks pregnant and for the past 3 weeks I have tested positive for protein and blood in my urine. My blood pressure is normal, I have no urine infection and my blood tests came back as normal. I really don’t understand what could be causing this. I have read about pre eclampsia

Raised Creatinine in urine
Hello everyone I was diagnosed with PMR in January and am now down to 4.5mg prednisolone. Having piled on the pounds at first I have been on a low carb diet since March. I do eat quite a bit of meat and a recent urine dip stick test showed raised creatinine. Could this be caused by high protein/low carb

Kidney biopsy for elevated creatinine
My 68 yr old husband had a kidney transplant 7 weeks ago. We are at the hospital now getting a biopsy due to his rising creatinine levels. I have been so worried that his body is rejecting the new kidney, but after reading these informative posts, I am hopeful and less nervous.

The answer of my right Kidney Tumor
The PAD has arrived and it shows radical operated clear cell renal cancer pT1a. Negative margin. In a small area at the site of previous biopsy, tumor cells are noted which may be indicative of involvement of perirenal fat associated with biopsy. Please can some body explain this ..........! I appreciate

Received my Drceased Donor Kidney Tues
On Monday morning this week I received a call saying I was third on the list to receive a deceased donor kidney. They hadn’t yet harvested the kidney and would need to test it after harvesting it, stc. But the initial data looked very good. A low risk lifestyle, etc. Tuesday morning I learned I would

APPROVED FOR KIDNEY TRANSPLANT BUT NEED A DONOR...HOW DO I GET MY STORY OUT? So scared about dialysis before getting a kidney.
Hi Sweet Friends.... hope everyone is hanging in there and doing well. I was approved for transplant at Mayo and am so grateful. My dear husbandand wanted to give me on of his kidneys but during his testing they found dangerously low platelets and found he has idiopathic ITP. After 2 hospitalizations
