Hello everyone I was diagnosed with PMR in January and am now down to 4.5mg prednisolone. Having piled on the pounds at first I have been on a low carb diet since March. I do eat quite a bit of meat and a recent urine dip stick test showed raised creatinine. Could this be caused by high protein/low carb diet?

Yes - having a lot of steak before the dip can result in high urinary creatinine or a less good blood creatinine clearance if a blood sample is taken.
Thanks PMRpro. Is it anything to be concerned about?
No - it shows your kidneys are doing what they should do: clearing creatinine from the blood!
