University of Cambridge kidney disease study
Hope everyone is enjoying a lovely Sunday! I wanted to ask if anyone else with a current or past lupus nephritis diagnosis has been approached by the University of Cambridge to take part in a study for improving kidney disease outcomes? I received a letter and wanted to make sure it was legit before

Found this in Waitrose (Bit pricey!) Lovely creamy Oat Kefir. Dairy, soya and gluten free... Edit ** Found a recipe they use milk grains**
£3!! and rather annoyingly really nice... heck I'm worth it! I only went in for a sneaky sushi treat 😏 Edit... actually cheaper in Waitrose as they sell the 500g where as the other only sell 250g £1.85 Oat Base (Water, Gluten-Free Oats (11%), Sunflower Oil, Salt), Coconut Cream, Stabilisers (Tapioca

GLEASON EIGHT.
If you have seen the Gleason images on Wikipedia, it is clearly obviously the drastic difference in the cell invasion between a three and gour.. That said, it seems futile to remove the prostate instead of radiation and brachytherapy.. If the Gleason eight is on the vesicles seems to me it is almost

Normal uptake areas in PSMA Gallium scan
My husband got the results, online, of a PSMA scan he had last week. We talk to his doctor tomorrow. The person who read it said the prostate was surgically removed, when it was actually radiated, so we don’t have total faith in this report. In the opening of the findings it says: “Physiologic radiotracer

Hi all, I thought I'd ask as this is very topical at the moment, especially for the immunosuppressed. Does anyone have any comments on this?

Look after yourself!
Hi everyone, as you will know from previous posts, my hubby has decompensated liver and is still drinking, with an "If I die, I die" attitude. So today saw me at the GP for myself (felt a bit self indulgent tbh) and I've got low haemoglobin, low vitamin levels, possibly due to Covid a couple of months

Egfr, is it a 100 accurate
Hi, I had recent kidney function test after a high creatine reading, it was 123 umol but after only a week it dropped to 80 umol . I was diagnosed with dehydration as urea was over 7.5 then dropped to 2.4 in that week also after I increased my water intake. I was not drinking enough I have to admit.im

Severe gastric problems- MMF?
I had my kidney transplant in June of 2021 and am currently taking 500mg cell-cept bid. I started to have stomach issues around the 4 month mark, and they have progressed to the point where my daily activities, sleep, and quality of life is impacted. Up until this point, I have felt terrific! I

2nd biopsy, just started on prednisolone. Dietary help pls.
So my doctor had just started me on 25mg of prednisolone indefinitely due to the inflammation (in my kidneys?) as a result of my igA nephropathy acting more aggressively on my body. I am taking effort to abide by a low protein diet at 0.8g/protein/kg body weight per day. Aside from feeling very hungry
