So I'm trying to find ways to get motivated to exercise. I want to lose weight in preparation for a transplant. I have no donor yet, but I was told I would gain weight from steroids taken after your transplant. Can anyone give more insight on that? I at least want to try. I'm on my second week of clean

Thoughts please?Im confused
I have had scarred kidneys since I was in my teens. I’m now 59 years old. Had a blood test to check my kidney function and my egfr is 51. I’m not diabetic , I have normal blood pressure and no other health issues. My GP has said my bloods are ok , no issues with potassium etc. I asked her if I should

PIP system is a complete joke
Hi Gang. I'm here to have the moaniest of moans. I'm 30 years old, I have Fibro, IBS-M and a shiny new heart condition that is yet to be granted a name. I applied for PIP in February, I was unbelievably awarded 0 points, I angrily applied for Mandatory Reconsideration ( I can't remember if that is

ET/MPNs cause or irritate musculoskeletal issues
Hi all, I hope everyone is keeping as well as they can be…. I have read a few stories and queries on here recently and it peaked my thoughts. I have had a few issues over this last year but these were old irritants let’s say from earlier years. 1) I went through a period quite a few years ago of

Long Term Hematospermia
Hey, I have been suffering since dec 19 with Hematospermia. I done many tests, including a biopsy in jul 20, and PSA tests along the way. Took a very strong antibiotic, which messed up my digestive system, making it slower than it was. Anyway, this this has still not disappeared. It's not painful. Is

Issue when using 1.5 solution on Amia
been on the Amia a few years now. Usually use 1.5 and a 2.5 solutions together with the last bag being 2000ml of Icodextrin, so 3 bags total. With this combo I do PD as I sleep. Machine doesn't usually beep until I'm nearing the end. I can deal with that. My problem is when I use two 1.5 bags drainage

Why is provenge (immunotherapy) not used in the beginning of treatment
Hi all, My father was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate metastatic prostate cancer, gleason 4+5. We are all in in state of shock and trying to figure out what the best treatment plan would be for him (he is 65 and was in good health). The research i've done showed provenge (immunotherapy) as

Navage?
Many of us (most?) suffer from sinus issues and we have our own tools to deal with these issues. My weapons of choice are Saline spray followed by Flonase before I go to bed. Works pretty well except for right now during allergy season. However, I've been hearing many advertisements for the Navage

Statins
I just finished watching - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MSNUjQt0u0 I find it fascinating that doctors are aware that statins don't work on dialysis patients, even the KDIGO guidelines say not to prescribe them, and yet doctors still will go ahead and lower LDL using statins. I know I am on one .

Queen is a busy bee
Hi all, I haven't left you, but these are the last two weeks of school. Then I'll have the summer off. I'm concerned dialysis is getting closer and closer. My creatine number is slowly creeping up. I don't even like to say the number out loud because it is so very upsetting. I have to realize that dialysis
