Well, after having another blood test ( number 3) to check liver function and also a urine test been told over the phone results are normal no action. Not sure what this means so going to ring to try to speak to doc next week. Not sure how you can go from a you have CKD diagnosis to normal 3 weeks later? But not complaining if this is correct. Original GFE result was 51, next 57 so dumbfounded being told latest is ok I didn't ask about number on this one. I'm 61 so GFE so should be 60 or over.
Cut out high potassium foods ( still ate med/low), swapped to oat milk and only low fats and started a good excercise regime and have lost a few pounds since 2nd test so not sure if this has helped. Not diabetic and no blood pressure issues.

Hi, if in UK egfr over 60 is normal providing other bloods test are within normal range and no sugar, blood etc in urine. My Egfr was 45 creatine, 123. 8 days later after drinking more water and cutting out a but of meat egfr ,73 , creatine 81, normal, no action. Cause of low result previous week dehydration. GP said because results improved dramatically in a week I don't have CKD . Other bloods tests, urine test fine, ultra sound fine.. So it is possible you don't have CKD. Check other blood tests out and water sample. I'm 55 female. My egfr at 35, and 40 yrs has been the same . GP said kidney function declines with age and most people egfr declines with age. The egfr is a calculation used and one cap doesn't fit all , so to speak GP about your concerns . other tests are taken into account before diagnosis.
