I can only say drink masses amount if water to flush out uti. It was the only thing that stopped me getting them back. My gp told me that. It's hard to start with but when your bladder gets used to larger amounts of fluids and your kidneys settle down, you wont visit the toilet anywhere near hourly. Give it a try.

Try drinking diluted non sweetened cranberry juice and avoid all bubbly drinks like colas or tonic water. The bubbles irritate the bladder.

Can you avoid drinking coffee as well?

Hello, check out this website for useful info on chronic UTIs

chronicutiinfo.com

You could also speak to your GP about HIPREX (Methenamine Hippurate) which is prescribed to both treat and prevent UTIs. It is not an antibiotic but can either be used alone or in combination with antibiotics. You used to be able to buy it over the counter (albeit it is expensive) but it may be prescription only. It is mentioned in the website above.

Hope this helps.
