IBS basics for beginners

How do I swap from taking prednisone in the morning to the evening ?
I think I’d benefit from taking my prednisone in the evening rather than my usual 8 am . Please advise me as to how to make the changeover. Do I double up one day or do I skip my morning dose? Also will it increase my insomnia? I’m on 9.5 mg pred , omeprazole, 15 mg methotrexate a week ,5 mgs folic acid

Osteoporosis at 53 due to steroids
Hi, I've just found out I've got osteoporosis in my spine probably due to steroids 😞 my hips are going the same way. I've been on the highest dose of Seretide for years and in the last 12 mths have had 3 lots of oral steroids too as I've got mild bronchiectasis too. I now take a smaller dose and am

How much damage has Omeprazole and Doxycycline done to me?
I am at the end of my tether. Doctors turned their backs on me 3 weeks ago - all I had left to cling to, to try to find out what was wrong was an ECG at the surgery (sinus aryythmia but "no reason to worry") and a 24 hour ECG completed last week. No idea what has caused the aryythmia or the jittering

Do you ever overheat later in the evening?
Hi all, I've had IBS/like symptoms for almost 2 years now that appear change a lot and have particularly worsened recently. I'm currently only taking omeprazole 20mg once a day, in the morning. I'm generally OK, unless I eat wheat, dairy, or anything that contains spicy food, beans, etc. But in the

Bright red blood and lots of it. It was stop/start till the morning. Got kiddo off to school and called

Deterioration
Although I am lucky enough to have monthly B12 injections through my GP and have done for a while now, I have very recently had a huge increase in the intensity and spread of my neuropathy. After starting the loading doses and regular injections since 2012 it was mainly tingling in my feet and lower

Medication timings?
I am on 15 mg prednisolone, ramipril, Omeprazole, and today have started azathioprine. All these are to be taken in the morning with food, apart from the azathioprine which I am also to take with my evening meal. Is it OK to take them in one batch in the morning? Thanks in advance

Omeprazole and hypo symptoms
Hi, I just wanted to ask for some advice as recently (over last 10 months) I’ve been experiencing real discomfort in my stomach and was prescribed omeprazole. This seems to really help but recently it’s got a lot worse if I forget to take it. I ended up going for an endoscopy and they diagnosed Oesophagitis

Anyone who cured GERD by going low carb, then was able to go back on carbs without the reflux starting again?
So I've had chronic acid reflux for three months now. 24/7, with nights being much more severe than days, but I have it also in the mornings. This started completely out of the blue, from feeling fine to suddenly having this. I speculate it have to do with being on Omeprazole for two weeks (for digestive

New to fatty liver with tons of questions
Hello, I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease. It took a while to figure out what was the cause but basically I've had intermittent very light pain on my right side for almost 10 years (31yrs old now) and it always seemed around holidays or when on vacation but always went away. I never thought

Proton Pump Inhibitors
I note from posts that many of us are given stomach medications ostensibly to “ to protect the stomach”. In fact these PPI’s, omeprazole, lansoprazole, etc. act on the liver to reduce the amount of acid produced. In my case they induced fundic polyps to form on the stomach lining and I had to discontinue
