My EP put me on this drug in an effort to improve my breathlessness. I will say it has been successful, but I would be interested in others experience with this drug and the reasons they were prescribed it.
I am adding this footnote to my post.
I have to stop taking this drug cu to severe pain in my stomach and I am now on double dose of Omeprazole in an effort to settle my stomach down. The sotolol has been replaced by nevibolol.
That's good to hear. I shall be interested to hear if any others have found this helped with breathlessness as well.
I was on Sotalol for a year or so. It worked for a while but then I kept having to have the dosage increased until I was in the maximum and that eventually stopped working too. I never had any side effects with the drug.
I’ve been on it for 12 years just had another 40 mg added to my daily dose. Got to see consultant sometime. For more checks. So ED have told me. I may rent a side room in the hospital ha ( not ) ha.
