Omeprazole

I was prescribed Omeprazole a Proton pump inhibitor PPI capsule some time time a go for indigestion by my doctor and discovered it was causing a lotime of my anxiety . I had them on a repeat prescription and had forgotten to add them to my monthly list , it was only then when I hadn't taken them, I realised I had woken without the gut churning anxiety that was always present in the morning ..I looked on the Internet and apparently anxiety can be a side effect of taking them !!! I stopped taking them and hey presto the morning anxiety has stopped for me ( it could just be me ) but it's worth a look at if you do take them

Great post, thank you! My sweetie, JEG325, is totally knowledgeable about supplements and would agree with you about the many dangers and negative side effects of omeprazole. I listened and didn't take it but doctor pressure is bothering me. It helps to know what you learned! Thanks again.

My pleasure , the anxiety they gave me was crippling and stopped almost overnight when I discontinued use .

Take care of yourself .

I'm sorry about this experience you had. The pills don't do that to me, but idk what else they might be doing. I'm giving them a try but also taking a natural supplement. These decisions are so tricky and hard.

I try not to eat to late now at night so not to get indegestion and could cut them out or use bicarbonate of soda instead .It is though because they do a great job of controlling acid reflux , but for me the anxiety was too much

Hard to not eat at night? I have such irregular hours I don't even know when I'm going to bed. Chalk it up to being bipolar.
