Asthma croaky voice
I'm 45 female not overweight. I'm asthmatic - mostly controlled. I take 200 Forstair 4 puffs daily. Antihistamine & just started Omeprazole 1 tab daily. 6 months ago I lost my voice but after taking antibiotics and Pred it came back. It feels as if I have mucus around my voice box but I cannot shift

Nyzatidine side effects
Hi everyone, Just a query for anyone on nyzatidine for acid reflux and also living with bronchiectasis. I have just transferred from taking omeprazole for acid reflux to nyzatidine as the omeprazole might have affected my osteoporosis, but am finding myself much more breathless and the acid reflux more

Endoscopy and omeprazole
I am hoping to have endoscopy done next month. I have been suffering from upper middle stomach tighness (just below ribcage) since early June. The GP has put me on omeprazole 20mg daily since mid June. He thinks its overacid production I tried to stop omeprazole after 4 weeks but had a bad rebound

Any advice at all?
I honestly don’t even know if this is the right forum to post on, but my Doctor says that it’s Fibromyalgia causing this, so here I am. I’m 20 years old, I have endometriosis, fibromyalgia, Gastroparisis, and Polycystic Kidney Disease. I’m honestly just never... ‘well.’ I’m always sick every single

Acalabrutnib and omeprazole
Hi, I’m starting acalabrutinib on Friday.... I am also taking omeprazole daily. Is it ok to take both drugs at the same time. Or is there an order or time frame... I’m feeling very confused. My nurse said take omeprazole 2 hours before the acalabrutnib... but I’m not sure if that’s the correct

Cimetidine
First I was on Omeprazole which after years of being on it and if I remember came off it as there were not favourable reviews about it. I then was put on Ranitidine and on trying to get it again last month its a big No as its been withdrawn, so another alternative has been prescribed Cimetidine - after

Observation and Question re Pred.
Morning all, bright sunny morning here so far, anyway, looking at the posts it would seem that if I am up, which seems to be the case nowadays, then I am better off taking my Pred at 02:00 ish rather than 04:00 ish. The question is do I take the Omeprazole at the same time or a bit earlier?

All symptoms of under active thyroid but ‘normal’ blood test
Hi, I wonder if someone could please advise me on the following. When I was 10 years old I got diagnosed with underactive and enlarged thyroid. I was on medication for 11 years then I moved countries and was told by GP there was nothing wrong with my thyroid except being enlarged, it worked normally

Reducing omeprazole
I am at present on omeprazole 20mg daily. I was prescribed this medication in early June 20 when I suffered from tighness of upper abdominal. Doctor said it could be due to over acid production. I took it for about 3.5 weeks then stopped it for 9 days and the acidity came back. So Doctor asked to start

Weird feeling 3 weeks after getting stents.
Hi! I am a 53 year old male. I am very active and play Table Tennis for couple of hours almost every day. I got a nuclear stress test that showed abnormality. This prompted my cardiologist for me to get a catheterization done. During Catheterization the doctor discovered 99.9% was blocked and the radial

How to sufficiently line the stomach vs. Omeprazole
Hi (aside from the 'we are all different'), what insights do we have on what should be sufficient in minimum terms to line the stomach (and how far in advance timing wise b4 taking Pred.) to successfully replace Omeprazole ? AND, how much/what are the warning signs, if an individual has got it wrong

Dabigatran and tummy trouble
Hi there! I have been on Dabigatran for over two years and have just been told, following a colonoscopy and endoscopy that I have stomach ulcers, gastritis and patchy bleeding in the stomach. I also have suffered with worsening diarrhoea now for about a year. The gastro consultant has recommended Omeprazole

Esomeprazole (Nexium) 22mg
My husband is 3months past IL surgery and thank God that he is recovering very well without any major issues such as those shared in this group. He has 6 small meals (baby portion size) consisting of 2x Fortisip drinks. He is slowly gaining back an appetite but has to be cautious that he does not over

Ever had reflux/bloating set your heart off in the middle of the night?
As it says, this happened to me. Woke up about 3 ish and lay there before becoming aware of my heart. It was pounding out of my chest, an ectopic every few beats. I also felt bloated and had a lump in my throat. So I checked my heart rate and rhythm and my HR was low 60s, about normal for me lying down
