Treatment for H Pylori
Hi I have been suffering from stomach acidity issues since June this year. GP had prescribed omeprazole 20mg daily. Had a stool test done for bacteria in July which came back negative at the time. Over 4 months symptoms have improved but not completely gone so asked for an endoscopy. I had my endoscopy

Recent hip replacement following trip on drive now prescribed Adcal D3. Read this can lead to strokes and heart attacks over time.
Will a calcium and D3 diet be better than taking Adcal D3. Also on 20 mg omeprazole which can lessen calcium absorption.

Hi, for the past 3 years I've had these episodes of pretty severe pain in my chest, however it moves around to my back, right side, right gums, shoulder, abdomen, throat. Never left side, only right so far. It can get very painful. I've had a couple of ECGs, BP, bloods and so far all normal. I'm in

Low ferritin low hemoglobin celiac three years ?
I have posted before but at my wits end. I was diagnosed celiac three years ago due to very low ferritin and hemoglobin. I began gluten free diet and iron supplements and my levels were back to normal. Dr took me off iron and I continued gluten free. Past labs have shown a steady decline in my hemoglobin

Suspect mast cell disorder - who to ask my GP to refer to?
Hi everyone, I joined health unlocked initially to discuss my recent vitamin B12 deficiency which is not being treated in accordance with the NICE guidelines but suspect it is associated with the varied health problems I have had over the last few years. I have the holy grail of a telephone appointment

Really struggling at the moment
UPDATE: ran 5k this morning. Been eating main meal at midday and light snack at 5 and slept better. Fingers crossed Monday’s appointment helps sort something else though. I was so pleased to get my hip working properly and pain free again and I thought I would be out there running 3-4 times a week

Reflux before AF & quince remedy
Quite a few writers here have mentioned reflux and although they may or may not be directly connected through stress, the Vagus Nerve and digestion to AF, I certainly suffered from it before my AF was diagnosed. I am a big fan of trying natural remedies which usually take longer but have no side effects

"Mildly high" Enzymes?
I (24/male) have had an on and off dull ache/bloated feeling in my right upper abdomen for over a month now. Got pretty scared as I thought it was due to being a heavy drinker for around 4 years. Since then I've cut down on alcohol massively but not completely, I'm at least having 3-4 days off a week

Omeprazole
Ive been given omeprazole as I’ve had severe infection in my throat . After antibiotics didn’t work and then a throat spray it didn’t work. I suffer from Diverticular and have constipation and diarrhoea . I’m waiting to see a specialist about my throat . But last doctor only spoke to me over the phone

Help Please: Blood test results for my Ma... speaking to a Dr tomorrow, Wednesday...many thanks for your help.
Hello Folks, My Ma takes levo. She was started on it at the beginning of this year, on the minimal dose. She is also now experiencing serious hair loss which is very upsetting to her, though nobody seems to be too bothered at the new surgery. Our surgery closed down in March. All our Dr's have disappeared

Bloating, nausea and tingling
I’ve recently tapered to 1 mg having delayed my taper due to hip surgery 12 weeks ago. I seemed to have no classic PMR symptoms but over the past few weeks have been very windy, tingling hands and feet and lately feelings of nausea. I spoke to my gp and didn’t mention the tingling as I first thought
