Heartburn

Hi hope everyone is ok I have had chronic bloating heartburn and reflux for the last 6 months I have had an ultrasound which apparently there was too much bowel has to see anything and I have just had my results back from a barium swallow which came back as everything normal I have had the Heidelberg test which said I had low stomach acid and pyloric insufficiency but my gp ha said don’t worry about that take omeprazole for 6 weeks why have I got these symptoms if everything is normal

I take omeprazole everyday and have been for over 6 months, and will probably have to take it for the rest of my life which is super fun! However, it helps me so so much, I have GERD/acid reflux, and without omeprazole I feel nauseous and sick all the time. A food diary might also help, so you can look to see what foods are causing the bloating and heartburn!

You ask about omeprazole which so many people take. I can't get on with it as it gives me colon cramps. However I am now on pantoprazole which suits me well and I am no longer bloated. I had been losing g weight but put some on now.
